As pipe-and-slippers sort of bloke on a BMW I've never been faster than about 125. That was on the M1 about 5am on a summer Sunday morning when I'd got my knickers in a twist after missing a junction and I thought I'd got the road to myself. Sanity arrived in the shape of a black Merc that appeared in my mirrors and then shot past me as if I was standing still!
Backed off to 90-ish and was then passed by a BMW car at a similar warp factor.

I'd only admit to doing over limits (but on private roads so no limits) was caught as a young un speeding was enough for me not wanting to loose my licence enjoy my bike too much!!!

There are some places Ian that do not have speed limits, and I have visited a few of them but I have got to admit that I have slowed down in my old age, and as I drive for a living, I now pick my roads. Not so much the ones that dont have cameras, but the ones that are more challenging to ride at the speed limit. Seems to work for me, most of the time

150? Me? Never! Far, far too dangerous. Never on a ZZR1100, never on a ZZR1400 and certainly never on the CB. Never, never, never.

been on the back of a gixer 1000 whilst doing 140. not a pleasant experience don't mind speed but wasn't given a choice!! needless to say it caused an arguement when back home & a bruised side for someone - from when he slowed down & I then proceeded to batter him!!
