Oh and I never ever did it on my VFR and never did it several times on my VTR. That includes the time that I didn't do it on my VTR on the B6318 in Northumberland whilst trying to take a photo of the speedo. Because that would be really dangerous. It would if I presume correctly be incredibly dangerous because that road is quite bumpy and at 150mph, if I was to take my hand of the left bar to grab the camera hanging around my neck, then I could quite possibly nearly lose control and very nearly go straight off the road! But I didn't do that so it doesn't matter.

Been pillion at 150 on the back o my mate's gsxr1000 , in the pissing rain too and it was my wedding night , somewhere north of Inverness on the A9 .

The Bandit tops out at 140 , although i would never ride at such irresponsible speeds myself . oh look flying pigs

Strange topic this one...do you say yes and look like a loon or say no and look soft in the eye's of the loon lol.

Well officially i can say yes i have broken the 170mph in Germany, I.O.M. and one or two tracks around Europe.
The fastest recorded speed was 181mph ( telemetry recorded) in the slipstream of a BUSA, not bad for a ZX9.

But lets be honest guy's most of today's modern plodders will get you over 170mph it's just picking the right time and place.
It's a real buzz at those speeds and a real shame that the laws of this country have not been updated (like the machinery we ride) and carry such a heavy penalty if you are caught there.

Anyway as a law abiding citizen of this wonderful country i can't say i have ever broken a speed limit on a motorcycle although there was the time i was sent on a driving course for my excessive use of a car accelerator but that's another story.

Have fun trying peeps.

Did 140 (on the clock, so less in reality) on my VFR1000F in 89 Bottled out because it became a bit toooo scaaaary. It started to handle like a turd in a p*ss pot Happy to stick at 80 these days had to have the experience though so no regrets

My BM goes through the timing lights at the end of the standing 1/4 at 135 MPH, it also did an indicated 171 at 3am one summers morning, nice and stable at that speed, would be nice to have it down an autobahn and hold it at that speed for a while!
