I've just spoke to Jasen and he says Squires aint closed at all, not even for decorating, so looks like the gathering is a goer

Phew! Thank goodness for that! At least we know we'll be able to get a cuppa without a paintbrush sticking out of it! Lol!! BlueBoy, I'll be taking the bike providing the weather not too blowy, as I feel like a piece of tissue getting thrown about in the wind on the open roads, but that would be great, always need a babysitter when I'm out!!

Peter, Hopefully I'm going to have the freetime to go too. I think the A46 to Newark then up the A1 sounds best. You are quite welcome to ride with/ follow me if you like. Car or bike will depend on weather! (going soft in me old age!)

Just been looking at the Squires t'interweb site and, looking at their events section, things start happening in June. Might be worth giving them a quick bell or email to double check they are open for business. I know I've been during non-summer months and they were open, but you can never tell nowadays. Might also be worth someone getting in touch with them and getting a link to BM on their site as well.
