What made me smile was being asked over a tannoy to remove my flip fronted lid (face perfectly visable) at a local station, the pratt didnt notice that the bright sunlight was showing his shared amusement with his collegue.I took the greatest pleasure of then going to pay for the fuel with it down, visor and sun visor also down and being told
"I cant serve you with your helmet on"
I took his pen and wrote on HIS note pad
"explain that to all the customers waiting behind me because it aint coming off, and I am offering you full payment before I leave. Who's laughing now smartypants?."
He will also be getting a bollocking off his boss (I supply the station and his boss is a riding buddy who hates the remove the helmet malarkey)
Sitting here covering on the Reception desk, an elderly guy has finished his appointment and has walked over to the 3 seater leather sofa, take off his shoes and socks, rolled his trouser legs up. laid down for length on the sofa and is serenading me with Dean Martin songs ..... why ....... cos the suns shining and he feels 21 again lol ....... just like MacDonald am 'Lovin it'
Pmsl jackie! Can't beat the old boys to perk u up and i'm kinda partial to being serenaded by the old boys at work!
Didnt venture far on baby today-sheesh that flippin wind coming back from haslingden almost blew me off the bike.... Note to self start eating all the pies or at least glue them on ur ass coz 6 stone is takig the mickey! All offers of free food, barbies and beer in sympathy of my unerring ability to lose weight despite trying to keep it on would be most welcome 0:-)

A couple of things have made me smile today....
Having a phone conversation with someone who has bought nothing but laughter into my life and made me smile.
Knowing this time next Saturday my beautiful precious daughter will be a married lady.
Bought an 08 plate CBR 125R Honda in 2009, from a then, workmate. Let my Son use it for a while until he lost interest in it in March last year. It's done 2500 miles and been stuck under a cover since then, at the back of my Mothers house. Decided to have a look at it today, with a view to selling it. Walked up to it, put the key in and it started right away....Now that made me smile....Honda's..you've just got to love that reliability
bit of hot weather while returning from up country, and they all get in their cars, attach caravan,or leap in bloody horse boxes, remove brains and eyeballs, and proceed to ambush me everywhere....dick'eds
Came round a bend on the road between sedbergh and kendal. Land rover stopped to turn right off the bend. I stopped a tad too abruptly-stopped ok but lost my balance, felt it going over, just couldn't quite manage to stop it going past the point of no return & dropped it. The guy in the land rover pulled over and ran back to help me get it up and out of the middle of the road. Then this huge group of blokes appeared from god knows where and asked me if I wanted it pushing up the road to a lay bye to look at the damage. They were a bunch of bikers visiting their mate camping behind the hedge. I wasn't actually particularly shaken up but would have been rude not to accept offer of a reviving cuppa. So ended up having a lovely sojourn in a field, sat under a gazebo drinking ginger beer, eating scones and having a right good laugh! Wasn't expecting THAT! I'm having the most amazing chance encounters at the moment- love it.
It's a bit of an "ouchy" smile.. sunburnt arms.. nose and forehead.. but tis how I got them that is making me smile... Lush.. lush.. lush memories of a beautiful day exploring along the Northumberland Coast and seeing Ellie absolutely thrive... Her health is now 99%.. she has never been this well for so long and she is coming into her own... Bless her wee heart.. so proud of her!!
Many smiles it is that I'm taking to bed with me from this weekend... Night Night loves...
