I saw the post

how many of you have ridden a bike at 150 mph or more
but its locked ! so guess I just gotta start a new one

well my first kawasaki , a zzr 600 can't do 150 in 4th
and my 2nd kwak ZX9R ninja , cant' do 150 in 4th
and my current ZZR 1400, could ( so other people tell me )
but then now its popped a piston it may never ever will

5th and 6th gear
there's a new story

how about running out of throttle on a 200 bhp bike

I only assume it locked for a reason and that reason unless its on a track then its illegal, and am sure if the police see it they will be interested in talking to you, or that the forum doesn't encourage the public boasting of illegal activity!

Just a thought!

he made reference to a post made by somebody else which was subsequently locked, and then said other people have told him about capabilities of the bikes he refers to - nothing illegal there from what i can see!!!

From what I understand, a topic is locked if no post has been put on it for 2 months.

Gixergal is right. The reason was to prevent people dragging old threads up all the time, however you can request a mod unlocks a topic if you want to add to it. I reckon a CBR600F could do 150 (on the clock) in 4th. I don't actually know though.

Road tested the new 675 Daytona R and certainly got that to 140+ but cant recall whether I had just changed upto 5th. Was pleasantly surprised with the bike. MV ofc - its a crazy bike

What was the point of the original post anyway, just to brag that he had bike that would do more than 150?

So have a lot of people on here.

He popped a piston, sounds to me like he can't either maintain or ride his bike properly. My bike ran out of throttle *yawn*

"So have a lot of people on here."

I haven't!! How about that for bragging! My bike won't do over a true 132mph (based on sat nav) with the top box on. I know!

(Note: All speed tests undertaken on a private test track .... not the M62 at all, cos that would be illegal!)

for a group of allegedly tolerant people, there appears to be a disturbing amount of intolerance. make it ride to live, live to ride and live and let live - have an opinion and express it, but try to do do with a little respect for others "yawn"!!! lol at Bikeabill - think the fastest bike/rider combo i have ever seen was on very hairy welsh "b" roads and was a featherbed framed triton. On those roads, forget 150mph, that thing flew!!!!!! (and i was on a very nimble race tuned 2 stroke at the time!!) x

"for a group of allegedly tolerant people"

Tolerant? There are a number of words that I would use to describe a few people on here, but tolerant isn't one of them lol!!
