oh and another thing - there would have to be a one way system and passing places. none of this loitering, chatting, changing directions and blocking the isle.

See, I've found that you don't get too much of that in M&S DD, apart from the odd person that really should-be at Tescos.

ha-ha a one way system now that would be brilliant! There should be one of those belts they have at the airports that takes you along at a reasonable speed so you can get what you need and whack it in the trolley, no fuss. Just clean and quick shopping :)

A machine that you put your phone sim/memory card into, that reads your family/friend's birthdays and gives you a suitable card for the next 3-5 events. So for example, you instantly get an appropriate card (depending on gender, age, friend/family status, etc) for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Wicked!

Thank you, this post makes for great insight into 'men about a supermarket' I don't think I'll look at men shopping the same again - especially at the mag isle, cheesy wotsits and latex glove sections lol. Keep them coming lads

I think there are too many choices as well. I mean how many different types of bog paper are there - they could save an isle by just offering one thing - 9 rolls of white.

Does anyone really buy anything but heinz baked beans or birds eye peas?

I'm liking the sound of this men only aisle, but don't forget about us fellas who aren't single and who go shopping with girlfriend/wife.

I'd like to see a "Quick Shop" button on the entrance to the supermarket that automatically reduces the amount of time you need in there from around four hours to less than fifteen minutes.

Sounds very complicated but it isn't. All this button would actually need to do is close off and lock the clothing section. Job done!

santa, online ordering is for blockbusters and firebox. I have to go to a supermarket on saturdays to remind myself why i never had Kids.

One way system brilliant, pmsl at this thread, how about a work experience lad or lass follows you with the trolley so you can just chuck the stuff into the trolley, save you having to push it. 1. I agree on the bananas, pottasium in em, cures cramp, see 'wotsits and latex gloves'. 2. beer 3. curry 4. fags 5. bike mags

1. Mags
2. Crisps
3. chilli con, pasta bake and shepards pie ingredients all pre-packed and ready to cook
4. Shaving stuff
5. Energy drinks (Relentless or Monster all the way :P)

talking of mags,be it grumble, grot, palm sunday journals or bongo books-
is ' Iron Horse' still in print?
back in my misspent youth, no shop keeper would'nt let you buy any ford catalogues, IE fiesta, escort etc,
but you could always pick a copy of iron horse with no problem.

more teats in them pages then a field full of dairylea cows!

talking of energy drinks, lidl's do thier own brand, same size as redbull and only 27p a go-bargain, and they work-but not had one for a long while-too much sugar!!
