Ok, so there are around a dozen people who have expressed an interest. Most of these appear to be going to the Sun Inn later this month, so I'll put together some options and hand them around for people to look at. The two main options will be hotel/camping and sharing a cottage or similar. I'll look at prices and availability based upon various times of the year and set these out for discussion.

Sounds like you have a great trip planned, Geoff! If I am still based in the Highlands then I will welcome you all with a wee dram and a spray of midge repellent... Unfortunately I cannot predict where (or who!) I will be in the next few months...

Good idea to bring stuff to the Sun Inn... See ya there. I like the idea of renting the cottage... more chance to socialise in the evenings. Again, so long as it's not a tent, I'll be happy.

I'm up for renting a cottage. As for dates, how about spring bank holiday weekend?

Besides we're in France Spring Bank! However, don't start panicking peeps, I've put together some pretty good options and have checked the availability on them all. You can see them at the Sun Inn after which I think we need to be thinking of booking pretty quickly. Especially if there is a few of us going.

Just caught up with thread Geoff, great idea with info on sunday def count blue and i in,but just a wee reminder that the friendlies are also meeting early at the sun.Can i suggest we have them one right after the other so we can get them done before the meet proper starts?

Sounds sensible Cass, no intention of interrupting the Friendlies meet. I am presuming the Scotland trip "meet" will be fairly informal and hopefully won't take long. A quick discussion around a table, hand out the options and then if we can agree something there and then great, if not people can take the stuff away and we can agree something during the week after.
