Hi Chris,

What's policy regarding full petrol tanks on ferries nowadays. Is it still as empty as possible when you board?

Thanks

Denis

I go on with a full tank so i can get plenty miles in straight off ferry as there isn't many petrol stops until you get right into Belgium also on the motorways.

I run a British style B&B in Pirzenthal Wissen. Very central to your tour, I would give a good discount to any Biker Match riders choosing to stay You can view my place at vinecottage.de . My German language skills are not brilliant but any one having difficulties, booking etc, I would be willing to help. I have a good knowledge of the area , The Westerwald is one of the most popular Biker areas in Germany, you would travel through on your Dambuster trip. So if any one wants info just ask.

madscots @ 11/01/2013 00:31

basic as in microwave meals only and sparse toilets n showers, rooms barely furnished too? One report said sheets were damp and signs of mould!I expect that was an exception, For the money it doesnt sound great mate, Debs from BM stayed last year n walked out didnt she? Just not for us, we gtn too old ... altho bar area sounds ltho it would be fun to be in,I would add that there is only a room or two left there anyways....and of course we could be home tucked up in bed in a couple of hrs or so from there!
