We went this afternoon.... what a gorgeous place. Spent a very civilised hour or so with Wills, Clarkee and his mate drinking tea . As the pub was very busy we didn't ask any questions but we will need to speak to someone as we didn't know where we could camp. Really pretty area with lots of nice A roads. The August date may be a bit close to the KISS rally so poss the July date?

Pot of Tea and two Coffee's, Sir?. That'll be £7.90....please. To be fair , did get a little shortcake biscuit as big as your thumbnail....

Good company though and very civilised as Karen said.

Still love the place

Sorry I didnt make it today Karen - had to wait in for my youngest to come home. Im so glad you all enjoyed the place - it really is very pretty - if not a little steep in price for the tea and coffee!
Wenders im happy with either date and look forward to meeting you all then if not before! Im going to NABD next weekend (first rally ever!) so hope to bump into some fellow BMers then x

After going to Swettenham yesterday, (with the Sunday afternoon Tea club). I've just had a look on the google satellite thingy. we saw some people going round the back of one of the Suites while we were there. It looks like there is a large field/ Meadow there. If that belongs to the Pub, it would be plenty big enough for a "Do". Not sure if bikes could get access, from the image on the net?

"Sunday afternoon Tea club" , shouldn't that be in your "you know when you're getting old" thread??!! Would be a lovely place for a meet/stop off point during a ride out. Not been on those roads before and thoroughly enjoyed it. We even managed to ride through a Ford http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low_water_crossing which could easily have been avoided but we just have to follow the Sat Nav!! lol

Blackberry, are you really ready to get involved in the, "Are you sure that's enough portaloos?" conundrum again?
