Done more bloomin u-turns than ye can shake a stick at on my bike lesson today, and slaloms and wizzed round on so many figure of 8s nearly got dizzy...FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY AT LAST
....I CAN DO IT!!!...and yes I'm shoutin cos some peeps know how much I've struggled with this.
I adore my bike even though she is rather long and a tad heavy. What a lovely happy day
Blimey, it almost felt graceful...I almost stopped believing this day would ever come.
Great sense of achievement, Minnie. Increased confidence is a huge asset. Think of the broader smiles to come as the open road unfolds and you thunder along.
I'm still really happy after pirouetting around on my bike this afternoon, but also been chatting to my youngest offspring tonight.
She's away at uni and takes after her mum and is fiercely independent....and hardly ever communicates when she's away (but neither do I either....)
All through school she would never allow me help her with anything, then a few weeks ago she actually asked me to proof read a couple of pieces of work and suggest tweeks. I felt honoured to be asked. She's told me tonight about the marks she got and they were damn good.....they were only tweeks cos she did the work....finally I think she's seeing me as something other than an annoying silly old bugger haha
Hmmmm, back to doing more pirouettes tomorrow lol
Being shown Minnies post on Saturday after getting worked up again about riding into a fence and "bends on a bike" and coming home and being able to read it again but properly.. and then the feeling of euphoria that's still with her in the second..
Sooooo smiling cos I don't care if it takes till I'm in my 60's I Will Be Able To Ride my Suzuki..
Proud of you Minnie.. you never gave up! My wee dream of riding has just but started and I'm not going to either..
Lovely to hear Min on that cloud of success ..........
I'm finally home after a gruelling day with grandsons...but grinning like the old Cheshire cat cos their mum ran her first half marathon in under 2hours :>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I've been doing the same today, roundandroundandround practising and I think I'm getting it!
Also, yesterday, unexpected trip up to Squires and meeting up with a few folks. Sat on Bobkat's McBeastie and got a wee bit squiffy on some of Sharkey's Lindisfarne mead
Just got a letter from Danielles school saying she is being rewarded for being a good kid by being taken on a trip to Alton Towers by the school Apparently a coach load are being rewarded for just being good ! Proud of her , she has had a tough year .
Had a trip out to squires yesterday and looking forward to some more trips later on in the year
