Made me sad today being in the Chemo suite - not for me - I'm in remission and doing well on my maintenance so I'm very lucky ,,, but young guy in the next bay to me ... quite clearly still in shock with his recent unexpected diagnosis - only in mid 30's - with his heavily pregnant wife with him for support and her only several weeks from having their first baby ( a little boy) we didn't swap names so they won't know I'm posting here but i've sent them blessing and best wishes .., if anyone has a spare moment to contemplate sending good vibes please would you? you just never know what stories will touch your life each day .... wouldn't it be good to know somene has your back one day when you really need it?. even if you never know their name or are able to thank them .. we could pass the love forward to the ones we meet along the road of life, as a Random Act of Kindness, and just make the world a better place all round..... cancer hits 1 in 3 .... - i never though it would get me - but it did now i'm in recevery i'm making sure i help others when i can ..... thanks for all good wishes sent out to me so far! I'm making some more of my special crystal angel charmd to sell on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Unit, Derby Hopsital, if nobody objects here - they are ideal as bike key charms etc; pm me for details to order or see my gallery , many thanks , Dawn
Dawn, It is so sad to hear of these people who are obviously in distress and at such a young age. I personally don't know what it feels like to suffer from cancer, but it is very much close to my heart having seen what my loved ones have gone through with this disease. Also seeing many other people at various hospitals, who are going through a similar journey that you have made. I have great admiration for your spirit in getting through the healing process and similarly for the many other people who have done the same.
I am a great believer and supporter of Macmillan and other similar charities for the brilliant work they do.
unhappy....getting to farmyard rally andfind main gates shut...walked all the way in pitch black, kicking sheep aside, gave marshalls serious verbal abuse...get quad ride back down...gates wide open..told marshall happens all the time..by the way, my names Jinx....pissed himself laughing...xx
Aww Sandra how sad, but you can keep in touch via computer can't you? ( I mean with their parents, and a webcam, not your grandchildren talking) Isn't technology grand sometimes?
Returning home and back to normality after a fabulous weekend stay at the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel for a family wedding and a weeks stay in Bala looking after my great nephew whilst the happy couple went away on honeymoon. If any of you were riding through Bala and Barmouth and waved to a little one whilst he waved to you.....thank you. He is now bike crazy :)
Flippin felt has blown of the shed again whilst I was away. I am fed up of having to keep repairing it, I never wanted the shed in the first place Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
