Minnie, check your daughters lease, most student landlords have a clause about rodents and it usually states that its down to the tenants to get the problem resolved !!!! Dealt with a few landlords when my son was at Uni :)
It wont cost them anything, they need to contact thelocal council, who will send somebody round within 48 hours to put down bait etc and find out how they are comin in, if they cant fix it they will tell them what they need to do.
I agree its not the best solution but its by far the fastest way to make them feel safe and secure in their home :)
Am happy to check through the lease if ur not sure, i work with Leases everyday so am used to finding weird and wonderful stuff in them lol
I'll pass that on. But mentioned to her about ringing the council as double six suggested. She isn't very hopeful about getting a very positive response though, as they've already rung about the rubbish left out in the street & it didn't make a blind bit of difference....there's all sorts of crap out there so no wonder there's rats about
2013 just isn't going to be my year! It all started at Xmas when for no good reason my back didn't want to allow me to get out of bed.....not good. Just got bearable when on Jan 2nd: Good mate died of cancer aged 47. Jan 6th: My mum died. Then hassle with Parcel Farce who damaged a perfect good laptop while they were delivering it. Not resolved....YET! I'm just in the mood to tangle with them now! Friday: Being told by my GP that I have a basal cell melanoma (Skin Cancer) on my shoulder....Not my year at all. S#!T
Hi dj really sorry to hear your having such a bad time. Skin cancer can be cured right. It will get better. Spring is on its way. The worst is over. Have you booked some bike rides yet. Try keep positive. Look forward to good times. And theyll soon be here. ? :-)
