Been a family of crocks at chez Minnie for the last 3 weeks. I'm ok and back to normal but my eldest daughter isn't
She had a horrendous car accident 13 years ago - head on collision with an HGV in her mini cooper. No need to say who came off worse...... Her angel was flying with her and we still have her with us but her leg was horribly smashed up and she's had to suffer so many operations (I've lost count now, 10, 11, 12??), pain and months/ years on crutches, starting to walk again....starting to live the life of a normal 20 something, then a 30 something She's had 4 good years with almost normal mobility then something 'went' 4 weeks ago and she's been in agony and virtually unable to walk since She's got an orthopaedic referral for next week....think we are in for the long haul again I'm twittering about having been off colour for a few weeks & tonight experienced the freedom of riding my bike....but she's such a long way off experiencing that feeling, bless her....her youth robbed by that moment tangling with a truck

Listening to my dad on the phone stuck in hospital bored out of his mind and being told hes another 6 weeks being in there. Having to have lots of rehabiltation because of his leg being amputated which means now also having to move home too

That's bad news Mel. Please pass on my best wishes to Steve when you see him. I guess it was only a matter of time but still a shock when it actually happens.

Well it was yesterday now but some doddering old fart in a Rover crashed into the C1 outside Emma's Only "superficial" damage to the bike, a busted "crash pod" and some scratches Just a dented wing on the car but the insurance premium will be "adjusted" in light of a claim no doubt and all the attendant flippin paperwork He obviously "didn't see me" even though I was in the middle of the road FFS the bike isn't "camoflaged" And I was almost stationary and facing in the same direction

Oh Em, I hope you're ok! Lotsa hugs for you ANNND the bike!

I just don't believe this, 'cos the exact same thing happened to bill306 yesterday on the Whiteways cafe run in the south . He was stood at a junction too when an idiot in a people carrier hit him. He was taken to hospital, but sent home late last night.

Take care Em, speak soon.x.

I hope u didn't suffer any damage, Em? An example of why I advocate compulsory eyesight tests at least every 10 years, preferably 5.
