On a good note the kirkstone is a nice pass but not as challenging as the hardknott and wrynose where the 1 in 3s are, nice pub at the top of kirkstone though

And the Kirkstone is a lot more fun

The scenery from the pub at top of kirkstone is great nice twisty road, but hardknott/Wrynose have the most challenging hills, My Harley would do it but as camping for weekend blackbird better for carrying tent etc.

these look a bit scary but I haven't done them (I don't think)

Scary? Not really, just a matter taking it easy on the Hardnott/Wrynose and not trying to go too fast.
The Kirkstone is a hoot and nothing really technical.
Both a right pretty but it's best to stop and take in the views not to rubber neck while riding.

I noticed on the camp site web page they do not take groups of more than 4 people. Has anyone contacted the farm re the BM group meeting? http://baysbrownfarmcampsite.co.uk/

Gave the campsite a ring a few weeks ago David, said they would be able to take us no need to book, and just to email or contact them a week before letting them know of our numbers. I'll give them a ring again next week with a better idea of how many of us are going.
