Just picked up my Daytona 955i from the 18K service and being told that because I do regular maintenance on it myself there was so little needed doing, so they charged me 2 hours less labour than they normally would have. Then being told by the technician who worked on it that for 18K miles my bike was one of the best he's seen. Made me feel pretty good and I saved over 100 quid.

Nice one DM. (had a penfold moment then!).......It used to amuse me when people used to say they expected a discount on thier service because they had just changed the oil. Telling them they had just wasted thier money because I had to run the bike up to operating temp to balance the carbs which pretty much boiled the oil!............and the classic..."I don't pay VAT so I'm not paying the VAT on the bill"......Well I do mate so you bloody do too!

Having an engine ticking over whilst balancing carbs doesn't 'boil' the oil. Someone's pulling your leg.

Nice to read your home babbys hope all went well. Watching my daughter and her partner trying to load all their stuff into their car, including the dog and the cat, I am glad I haven't got to drive all the way to Cornwall with both animals in a car.

Wondering why my washing machine was making a funny noise. Found the 'missing' kitten stuck behind it. Didnt know whether to laugh or cry with relief.
