I went out on my lickle 125 and tootled around Derbyshire all afternoon ! Had a fiery ginger beer and then a yummy ice cream at Tissington ! Lurvely afternoon
Picked up my new(old) VFR750f this morning. Had a few problems with the immobiliser before I got going but ok in the end. I guess I haven't ridden for the best part of 15 years so the first few miles were a bit tentative but it all came back very quickly. Very soon found I was making up more excuses to extend the ride, parts shop, cafe, pub and to my mates house a nice ride away! Back to the car tonight though as I don't think me bass rig will fit on the back :( Got the bike mainly for my commute to work, back to work tomorrow and typically I've got to take the car as I'm picking up a friend and her son for dinner and I'm not strapping on a sidecar :)
a Ride of Respect from Newcastle down to Catterick Garrison, ending up with a cheque for £1500 being handed over to their recovery unit, a good day out
Took a brisk ride down to Brighton, then along the coast road to Pevensey bay. Then A22 back to London. There were some fast bits and bendy bits and some bloody slow bits. But all in a good ride today.
Took some photo's of new (to me) bike I bought yesterday and had good look over to see if there was anything wrong with it that I missed before buying. Thought about having a quick blat up the road, but gotta wait till taxed it tomorrow for that.
Went to the Raven with 3 mates, had an eventful day. Rode my trusty Honda to my mothers, where I keep my Guzzi. Guzzi wanted to play "I don't want to start". few checks, battery, fuel etc. Then it decided it would start. Went to meet my mates and the mirror decided to start, unscrewing itself as I watched, on the A555. Stopped, took mirror off and put it in my jacket. Met my mates in Alderley Edge, put mirror back on, it didn't want to start again. got a push and off we went. Got near Whitchurch and then it didn't want me to use 3rd 4th, 5th and 6th gears, then it did, then it didn't. Got to the Raven, had a lovely "brunch", CW turned up with a friend, had a chat. Guzzi started, stopped on the way back and it wouldn't start again, bit later, played "hide the gears again" and eventually got home.
Enjoyed my day but, I'm going to work on my trusty Honda tonight!.
Well gave Gladys a thorough clean to get all them damn flies which av stuck to her like glue after the last 14 days in france and spain.
What an experience I had absolutely loved the whole journey 2240 miles in total my confidence has grown tremendously and would love to do it all again but in better weather.

First commute on the VFR this morning, first stop McDonald's! Bloody hell where did my neck muscles go!! Anyone got a taller screen for a VFR750F lol!!
