Nationwide CRC sending my car back again ....and it STILL isnt right..this has been going on now since the beginning of the school holidays...GRRRRRRRRRRR
seeing my daughter breakin her heart when she had the very sad news about her much loved javelin coach, finding out that he had passed away yesterday. This is the 1st time she has had to deal with the death of some one she cares about
....never thought Id say it but it makes me sad to say that after yesterday I am seriously thinking of parting with my Harley and getting a jap cruiser instead!!! Second time Ive been "lucky" after HD cocked up warranty job with my back wheel!!! Lucky Ive got some good contacts with custom builders that for the second time found out that I have been riding around with a very dodgy back wheel (wheel bearings and spacer in bits!!) Making me think that I would maybe get more for my money and more reliability for every day biking with a Honda, Suzuki or Kwak..............any advice out there plz folks would be gratefully recd lol!!!!
Sorry to hear that BH....I do prefer japanese cruisers...ask Daveyboy..Maries boyfriend he has that awesome cruiser that was parked outside my house...you must have seen it you couldnt miss it!!! It is a Yamaha...1700 I think...but they are very very reliable..
I know so many people who have had harleys in the past and have had terrible problems mechanically with them and the warranty work etc...was less than desirable..also huge repair and maintenance bills...
BH , this sounds incredible as correct bearings should give years of service ! obviously the shaft or housing must be damaged and was not detected which also seems highly unlikely ...you should have HD strip, replace and guarantee the finished job , dont you have a *HOG* Harley Owners Group here? its a huge club world wide and they have a lot of clout...look into it , it could be worthwhile . ps..maybe TC can put you onto them
.....2006 Sportster 883 low maxnod! and yes incredible tho it seems its true Excalibur..................both times HD have picked up the tab without question (which in my book admits full liabilty and both times, they were the last to work on the wheel in question!) That's why I took it to the custom builder I know for its 5000 miles service because I knew he would go through it and just wanted to be sure...............I was..................HD had cocked up again!!! HD have been good with warrantly replacement and paying for this lot..........again, but fact is, if things were done properly in the first place, it just shouldnt have been needed. Hence my lack of confidence in them now!! Thanks BC, been sitting on jap cruisers today as being a little lady, I wanted to make sure that despite being much bigger bikes, I could still get my feet down on the floor................I seem to be ok one the ones I sat on but have a couple in mind already....................so, although my trusted "baby" is now sorted and tip top again (and this time, I am really sure!!) .....................I am keeping my options open and moving onwards until I find that jap cruiser that I think is definately on the horizon....................will keep you all posted tho!!!
