Having a really special friend helping me with my house, or should that be doing all the hard work in my house for me, my new bathroom is almost done now. Them not not minding me spending almost all day snuggled up poorly in bed.
Very funny Herne! If it was the track must have been huge to get my fat ass on it!!! LOL
Sorry to hear you are under the weather CG...hope you are feeling better soon...nice to have friends like that! Was lovely to see you the other day at NEC...take care!!!
Last night I had the pleasure of watching my daughter recieve her badges and certificates from St Johns Ambulance, its funny how things never change both myself and my mum said that the ceremony hasn't changed since we were cadets.
Still feeling poorly and fed up not being able to go into work but did laugh when I got my post today, when I get any xmas cards I always try and guess by looking at the writing on the envelope who its from, had one today didn't recognise the writing and even after opening it still none the wiser as its not been written on. The post mark is from Leicester but that don't even mean anything either.
*smiling through completely irrational girlie tears*
Getting home to a card with £20 in it from my Aunt to go treat myself to new PJs for my hospital stay... This is the Aunt with the husband knocking on death's door with failing kidneys... Like she doesn't have enough on her plate to worry about!
Just opening my front door to be greeted by my local florist with a vase of flowers and a box of chocolates, the card inside reads, Hope this makes your feel a little better. chin up! (did say name but won't put it on here)
Thank you so much, this is better than anything the doctor ordered. Hopefully I will be well enough to make Belper
You best be goin Dips! lol
Well done RC .. keep at it, you will have it all completed in no time!
And well done to all you lucky ppl gettin flowers and pressies.. tis lovely
Nice one CG - just knowing that somebody out there cares does more for you than any amount of medicine/treatment etc!
Keep it up RC... My mate's just been informed that she "has" to take that course... eh?! Because "skills fade"!!!!! She's got a flipping degree in "computer science" or summat and she's been working in the IT field for nearly 30 years!!!
Yet, because she's not worked since April this year - she ended up leaving her job because of having cancer treatment and her employer was being a complete tosspot over her taking time off... they've decided she can't apply for IT positions unless she gets her qualifications "updated" to include the ECDL! Sheesh! She's hopping mad. Especially as they're also insisting that she has to PAY to do the sodding course... She could bloomin' well teach the course blindfolded, with one arm tied behind her back... the country's gone potty.
Made me chortle heartily more than smile...
My boss is in a sulk cos he took his dying self off to the quack and has been sent away with a flea in his ear for wasting her time by taking up an appointment for a bleddy cold!
He's still dying though. Very noisily in fact... *cough*cough*splutter*sniffle*
Awwww... bless... he's going home cos he's decided it's now a "chest infection" and he feels terrible awful bad
It's like working with a jealous spoiled child!
One of his daughters had a similar laparoscopic op to me, a fortnight earlier than mine, and is still lying around at home feeling sorry for herself... another one broke her ankle rather badly and is also laid up... I think he's feeling left out with all these people around him dropping like flies?! Hehehe! Bless...
And yet, apparently, I'm expected back at my desk within a fortnight of my hysterical-wreck-2-me?
Aye, right!
