My smiles today come from reading these posts, and getting a lovely message from a lovely friend. Thanks Dave, it cheered me up.

Waking up this morning after a marathon exhaustion sleep and realising I'm no longer in hospital, but thankfully back home. Not a Boxing day/3 day stay I'd care to repeat any time soon.

All those superb medical professionals out there just rock!

Blimey Julz, you certainly don't do things by half measure do you?

I hope that you are well on way to recovery. Time to step back a little and slow down a tad, perhaps? .

I'm sure Rob will be nursing you back to good health. Rob, put down the Port & Brandy ... She really doesn't need it just yet!

I will see you both soon. Gentle hugs and lots of get well soon wishes winging their way North. Lxx

Smile today....early news announces 'L' plate car drivers are to be allowed on Motorways, accompanied by instructors in cars with dual controls...anybody else on two wheels as worried by this as me...??Also,yet another revision of how yo make it tougher for anyone passing a motorcycle test coming.....IF they just made car drivers more aware of motorcycles/riders by making them ride a 50cc moped for 6 months BEFORE they even got behind the wheel of a car, accident rates would plummet,as you would have another generation regaining 'spatial awareness' brought about by survival instinct(i.e. Lifesaver glance before manouvre embedded for life)..rant over(for now)

Notice they are not doing anything about teaching cyclists to obey the rules of the road, a proficiency test should be mandatory and insurance. Next time one of those muppets tries to kick or punch my motor I,m gonna launch them into the nearest ditch.

Hearing Stuie announce that the weather was great, when he opened the curtains this morning, then seeing him about an hour later trying to wipe ice off the seat of the K1200.

I think he realised it was a case of its 'bright but crisp'!

Having lunch and watching next door's furball trying to outwit the birds feeding in my garden... He obviously doesn't get the fact that he is really, really obvious being a feline muscle machine covered in long, ginger hair. Especially when he hits the top of the fence panels in a 'surprise attack' and makes enough racket to wake the dead! Give it up Merlin and go inside for your GoCat!
