After attending my first BM event for over a year it's occured to me the great social side to this site. After attending dozens of events/rideouts from Glasgow to Cornwall last year I can say whatever the weather I've enjoyed them all and made me realise what i've missed in the last year my bike for one and socialising with the great BM folk that i've met maybe I've been lucky but I think your always guaranteed a good time and a laugh so if your thinking of attending one but not sure all I can say is go for it you won't regret it (just wish i could afford to get to more).......enjoy everyone the seasons not over yet and the suns still out

Roo mate, I couldnt've said it better! I've been on this site for 2 and a half years now, last weekend at Borwick was my first proper weekend event, and what a weekend to pick!!! . . . Its definately going to be hard to beat, but the people we met there, and the good time we had, mean that we WILL be going on more. I've said it on different threads, but thanks once again everyone we met for making it such a good weekend. Hope to see you all again, and meet others at future events.

Great forum Roo - I've been on the site for about 2 months and have met some fantastic friends. Borwick was my first event - looks like I might be going to Squires too on 12th which I probably wouldn't have been doing except for the encouragement from the friends I've made.

The site has definitely helped me through a slightly dark time and kept me smiling! Everybody involved should be commended on the planning and organisation that goes into the events and the site.

I have been to lots of events in my last year and a half of being on here and I can honestly say that at each one I have made more new friends or cemented even better friendships with those met previously. Anyone who is nervous of attending any of our events really shouldn't be. You won't be left on your own in a corner, and although you may be asked to join in the silliness it is not compulsory lol.
This site DOES change lives. I had one very close friend before I joined, I now have several very close friends and many, many mates. Take the plunge! If you can get to the KISS Rally in September I can guarantee you'll make friends from all across the country to set you up for another year of great biking next year.

Good to see you back Roo :)

Can only confirm what the others have already said, countless new friends and some life long friendships made with some fantastic folk :)

Dont be shy to attend anything, if nothing else have a look on the events page and see who has there name down and bite the bullet and pm one who lives local to you just to break the ice. If all else fails and my names down pm me lol

BJ x

I love attending the meets that are organised on BM. I have been on brew meets, day rides, weekend and week long meets and have not once ever come home having not enjoyed myself.

And what I really love to see, is people gaining confidence with every meet they attend. You only have to look at all the happy smiley faces on the event photos to see how good a time everyone is having.

If you're 'thinking' about attending an event, just do it, and you'll be wishing you'd have done it sooner .

The BM Rally in September is going to be massive and most definately not one to miss

Well done for starting this one Roo.

Don't know what to say about BM events, meets and ride outs. Well actually, anyone who knows me will say that's a lie and it is, I know exactly what to say.

"I'm having an EFFIN great time and not been to a meet, event or ride out I didn't thoroughly enjoy. May there be many more to come."

Well done Roo, we got mates at the Borwick Hall adventure weekend (and what a weekend it was) and I too found a second wind there meeting new and old friends, them who know me a little said how different I was and many have comented on the foto's where it looks like I am having the time of my life in fact I was and did not want it to end but hay ho there will be another time back up at Borwick Hall and not only the Christmas doo. I was proud of you Roo to face your fear's with the Leap of Faith what a star. I agree about the setting up of events it must take some doing and I take my hat off to them all.
