We’re facing a fuel price crisis! I’ve signed the FairFuelUK on line petition at www.fairfueluk.com . They need the support of everyone that feels petrol and diesel prices are too high. Please help them by signing up and then passing this on to all your contacts’.

Dunno about that Dyna mate, worked out in the North Sea for a long time, saw the technology improving and the untapped areas there are around the globe, even a certain head boy of a Major oil company said he didnt know what the fuss was about theres loads of oil. So I'm quite sceptical

I signed it but its not going to have any effect, the powers that be will charge what they want regardless of what we think. Peaceful protest gets us nowhere.

A massive thank you for supporting FairFuelUK . With oil prices sharply up and instability all across the Middle East we simply have to win our fight to have the massive April Fuel Duty rise scrapped (it could be 23p a gallon!) and new measures brought in to stabilise pump prices at an affordable level.

At noon on Wednesday Quentin Willson will lead our team up Downing Street to hand in the first wave of your petition at the door of Number 10 – we hope you might see it reported in the media. We expect to be handing in over 120,000 signatures – gathered in just over 5 weeks!

We have heard that groups up and down the country are getting so frustrated and full of despair that they are planning ‘Direct Action’ – Go Slows on Motorways and demonstrations outside refineries. We understand their frustration but do not support action of this kind as we feel it only hurts and inconveniences businesses and other road users who are already hurting enough and are not the people causing the problem! That’s why we have to keep the pressure up on the politicians who DO have the power to sort this out. Therefore, the FairFuelUK campaign will go on right up to the Budget on the 23rd March so there are still things you can do to help…

If you haven’t already contacted your MP and told them how you feel – please do that now. If you want to email you can find their email address on our web site at http://www.fairfueluk.com/is_your_mp_supporting.html with suggested text. Even better than email why not write to them! All you have to do is write a quick note and address it to House of Commons, Westminster, London SW1A 0AA putting their name on the envelope and letter. Be sure to include your name and address as many MPs will want to check that you are a constituent. These emails and letters will have more impact if they are written in your own words.
This issue is SO important, why not call your MP and ask for an appointment so go and see them. You can contact them by calling their constituency office. You should be able to find this out by looking them up on the web.
The petition we send in on Wednesday is just the first stage. Please spread the word about www....com to everyone you know encouraging them to sign.
At FairFuelUK we believe that we can win this by political lobbying without causing massive disruption to the economy and to society – but only if the whole nation joins us…

Verry kind regards,

Peter Carroll

The Pressure is mounting on the Government because of your support behind the FairFuelUK Campaign

‘There’s now only 12 days to The Budget on 23rd March. Our campaign has gone from strength to strength. We now have over 113,000 supporters on line with another 30,000 signed up on paper. With your help, we now have over 130 MPs ‘signed up’ and have hit the headlines across the media. Indeed, only a few days ago The Daily Express joined the Fuel Duty fight and is campaigning alongside FairFuelUK. Even the Chancellor himself is saying that he is ‘listening’! All this has only been possible because of your support.

We know from experience that campaigns like ours must not let up. There are two very straightforward things we’re asking you to do that will really keep the pressure up in Westminster in the run up to the Budget. Here goes….

Check up on our website pages just how much you are paying in fuel taxes. We often talk about how expensive fuel is, but we think you will be shocked when you see how much tax is actually in that cost. If you are a motorist (professional or public) you will find the information you need at http://www.fairfueluk.com/documents...tml . You can even download a fuel tax calculator and put in your MPG, Fuel cost, Mileage per year to see the massive tax you are paying. Its shocking. When you have an estimate of how much tax you are paying, we are asking you to drop a line to your MP explaining just how much it is costing you and setting out that you feel it has got out of proportion. Please remember that we are trying to get MPs behind us so letters and emails will be more effective if they are firm but polite. The bottom line is that MPs need to literally feel the weight of this issue in their mail boxes and in their in boxes. All MPs have the same postal address - House of Commons Westminster LONDON SW1A 0AA. Or you can email them. For help with the name of your MP or their email address please check our web site at http://www.fairfueluk.com/is_your_m...tml .......... In any letter or email, be sure to include your name and address so that your MP will be able to check that you are a constituent. Letters expressed in your own words will have a greater impact on your MP. Nevertheless, there is some suggested text at the bottom of this message to help you put a message together. Even though there are only a 12 days to go to The Budget, we need more and more people behind us. Please, if you haven’t done so already, send a short email to everyone in your contact box encouraging them to sign and spread the word. There is a sample email example below. Thanks again for all your support. You are the reason why we are fighting this campaign…

Very kind regards,

Peter Carroll, Quentin Willson and the Fair Fuel UK Campaign

might be being a bit thick here but, If we have massive reserves of oil in the north sea, and most of the worlds biggest oil companies are British, then why does the middle east effect us????? Slash tax on fuel by half, slash tax on Beer and fags by half and lets get this once great country bloody moving again!!!! FFS!!!

Signed up, think I had already done so, but just done it again to make sure, I agree with what you say there Dark One, we are one of the most screwed over countries in the EU, or so it seems, the economy is a mess, the armed forces are over streched, and the equipment they are expected to operate with is either non existant or just crap. The consumer in the street doesnt seem to have a voice anymore, the politico's seem to sit in their ivory towers, with thumbs up bums minds in neutral, while the country is overtaken by immigrants, and undesireables, and nobody seems to give a flying frig about it !!!
