My budgie broke his leg today so I made him a splint out of two swan vesta matches. His little face lit up!
But then so did the rest of him as I'd forgotten I'd lined his cage floor with sandpaper!
Reminds me of the true story of my driving instructor's budgie. Had one leg chopped in error when having its claws trimmed. Perched on a beer pot and fell in. Survived the ordeal (?!) only to get shut in the frig overnight!!!!!!!!! Not sure what happened next. . hope they didn't have a cat :>>
