I've just had an email from the organisers to say it's been called off because of the weather. Can't say I'm all that surprised, really.

Official statement: Due to severe weather conditions the National Motorcycle Show, due to take place at Manchester Central this weekend (9 – 10 January) has been cancelled. Organisers of the show have deemed the travel conditions too hazardous. Commenting Howard Cartledge, Show Director, said, "With a show like the National Motorcycle Show safety has always been of utmost importance to us, and we just won’t take the risk for exhibitors or visitors. With the extreme weather travel conditions to and from the venue are just too dangerous, and as many as 45 of our exhibitors, and the stunt teams, are snowed-in across the UK and unable to travel to Manchester." Howard added "It is with huge regret and extreme disappointment that we have had to make this decision. We would like to thank everyone who has worked so hard on the show." Organisers are in talks for another date in April, further information about this will be released soon.

I spoke to the organisers this afternoon. If you've got tickets, hang on to them and keep an eye on the show's website.
They're looking at a new date in April, but I reckon they're at risk of a clash with the Stafford classic show at the end of the month. Stlll, their problem, not mine.

I was there last year, got 3points into the bargain, and the show was the worst i have ever been to,,,,most shows have been going downhill in my opinion over the last few years, and ive been to the manchester one a few times but after last year, never again!! no outside stunt show last year and a lot less stands and stalls as normal, was finished and on way home within 2 hrs (did buy a jacket though--reasonably priced!!)(add on £60 fine ) if you live nearby then you could kill half a day there if you eat there as well, for the money I would expect more!!!.........craig

I'd agree, compare with what you get at the Stafford Classic Bike Show at the end of the month for two quid less. A decent enough afternoon out but hardly worth crossing half the country for.
Still, I've kept the tickets from January, so I'll be there, and at Stafford too.

Staffs is both inside and outside, and is huge.

Ah righto, I've never been, I thought it was just an outdoor event.
