Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows of any meets in my area as I just cant seem to find any, I would arrange something myself but I wouldn't know where to start. I live in the Scarborough area and would love to meet people to ride out and socialise with. I hope to hear from you

I know a few peeps in Scarborough , will see what i can find out .

If you want to arrange a meet , best way to start is find a biker friendly pub with a decent sized car park , then post the suggestion on here to see what sort of interest there would b , then pick a date/time that suits the majority and then post it on the events calendar .

A good place to start would be Oliver's Mount in Scarborough , i for 1 would be up for an easterly meet , provided am not working of course .
Barton-upon-Humber would be another good place to start , biker friendly town .

there are often meets aranged to whitby during the warmer months here on BM, and i am sure if one was suggested for scarborough or close by then there would be some interest,,we dont need much persuading to get bikes out, especially the coastal routes..... nice roads,,,,nice scenery,,,nice people,,,fish & chips,,,,and an ice cream .............................craig

there are often meets aranged to whitby during the warmer months here on BM Erm, when? I don't recall seeing an event posted in the calendar, or the forum, for Whitby. Matlock Bath always seems to be popular tho, used to be a gathering once a month. Not that it makes any difference to me cos I have trouble getting lifts to anywhere *sigh*

Wow, I didn't expect such a nice response, thanks everyone. It would be great to meet with you all, I'm the only one of my pals to have a bike so it would be great to meet other likeminded people. Olivers mount is ok but theres nowhere up there to meet except a very small cafe that never opens, there used to be a social club down the road but it shut down. I have been to squires a few times but I found it hard to meet people there, they all seemed to be in little groups! As for ice-cream, I have to go with the rum and raisin.

ahh Scoobie - Craig is banned from having Rum & Rasin ice cream - things happen to him when he does!! **ahem** Jackie & Tracy - yep you're allowed mint choc chip - you 2 are safe on them (well...ish ) oh - Scoobie - there's usually some regular meet ups at Squires - when the weather gets a bit more reasonable, keep an eye on the forums & events - usually it's a last minute shout out to people to meet up. Don't be afraid of going over chatting to groups of peeps - you never know who you may get chatting to
