Posting this on Laur66's behalf as she cant get online at mo. Her BMW F650 Funduro was nicked from Darlington last night, Reg R792 EDB. I think theres a picture on her profile. Distinguishable marks are that she has her name in chrome under the headlight, keep an eye out for it.

It was chained, thatcham alarmed and in her gated yard, there getting pretty pro at this!!

Would suggest to everybody that you go to this website, zoom the map to where your house is, grab the little yellow guy above the zoom tool and drop him on your street to see what information is available to criminals.

I can see where you're coming from, but Darlington isn't on Google Street View so as far a this theft is concerned it's a bit of a red herring.

OK, but my place is, no bike shown though. Some places arnt on it, thats when the little man is grey, not yellow, but it has to be a great help to the shifty fraternity.

Actually, they've changed it, the little guys always yellow, but when you drag him over the map, the roads photoed turn blue edge.

Sadly most bikes that are nicked are rarely ridden in the state they were taken, in other words they are usually shipped out somewhere else or more likely broken down for parts. If kids are involved then the bike will probably be ridden off road until it's too knackered to ride anywhere or burnt out. Unless every part is marked you won't have any way of knowing exactly where they came from. Some bikes do get recovered I hope this is one of those, good luck.

What could possibly be wrong with charging a bike up to 50KV and wait for the big loud frazzle sound as someone tries to nick it. PS Anyone with a large garden to bury the bodies?
