Tis just the text inside the buttons that need changing so they're easier to read

yea, just trying to think how. Needs to be so small, and with few pixels to play with its hard. Because the background is light orange, the white text needs a black border. So rather than being 1 solid colour, its 1 smaller solid colour with a thin black edge around. The bigger the edge, the more fuzzy it becomes. Hmmm, let me see what i can do

looks a million times better on my laptop. too strong though, too much shading. I soooo hate graphics. Trying to learn though

theres a few programs out there Matt that allow you to do it ...I think I used to use paint shop pro years ago.

They are difficult to read at a glance, especially with glasses that needed updating months ago. I dunno why ya keep fixing what isn't broken.

Im using paint shop pro, the problem is the size - pixel wise. Ok ive made the black border around the text stronger, changed the font and removed some of the button shading. Press CTRL+F5 to refresh. Very subtle difference, and you might not be able to tell without having one of the old buttons available side-by-side. Takes me ages each time lol

I don't mind the colours, tho they do clash with the lilac/purple/mauve wallpaper (yee gods don't go changing that!!)it's the text that sucks! Maybe if it wasn't italicised it would be easier to read

It's been suggested at work (By a graphics designer) that I overhaul the whole site and make it the same style as the new t-shirt logo I designed. Eeeek

I have to agree with you Matt. the buttons are a little hard to read. maybe if the font colour was black?? You can't please all of the people all of the time tho. May I also sujest changeing the resolution of the site fron 800x600 to 1024x768?? how many people still have low res screens these days??

buttons changed so they fade in and out. Also changed thumbnails in forum posts so they have the same hover effect. Looks better. Ill try the black look PP, maybe with a white border for style. Trying not to make the buttons too harsh though. Re the old style header - i really dont like it. It looks like 1999 and not 2008. The new one i created last night is far better and much more modern. Re the resolutions PP... 10.48% still use 800x600! Unbelievable i know. I can tell you everything about every visitor :-) Some still use 8-bit colour!!!! A few crazy people still own MACS as well! A whopping 1.06% at that lol Here's some stats for you...
