Thought I would start a 'group' for the TT goers.
At present 5 members are going, few of whom are fortunate to live there.
So perhaps, we could maybe have a meet up over there?

Whats your favourite spot to view!?!?

I am asked, many times, so, i put this to those who are going and have been already, add a suggestion and reason.
Speed.. corner entry...corner exit...sound.... closeness of them passing etc....

I will be this year, viewing from Gooseneck and Conker trees. Haven't done these yet.

gosh I'm not sure I can remember the names of the places but just down to hill from start is amazing coz they literally lift all the dust from right by the pavement edge and are going so fast it's bonkers

another good place was at a pub (not craig na bar) but before that.... but anyways we were literally on the low pub garden wall as they flew by....

and the other amazing place was up on the mountain pass bit (I think nearish joey Dunlop) where we had longer views but not do close to bikes...

but I say try a few different places to view from and when I was there, there was just the one route under the "circuit" on ya bike if the racing had already started

all I know is...... TT is the most amazing experience ever, the racing, the riding the mountain road on ya own bike, the island itself is beautiful and the evening entertainment..... just all of it!!

yes bray hill omg!!! I mean they are like mm away from the kerb!!

I went in 2006 ... I not been back since 😭... the purple helmets riding all round the island doing their usual "salute" 😂

I'm gonna look back at stuff and work out which pub it was!!..... the side cars are ridiculously fast too!! and pulled into the pub we were on the wall coz they had problems

I've tried to find the pub by doing satellite ride if the course and other stuff 😂😂🤷‍♀️.... but no idea... all I know it has low sandstone wall beside road you can sit in right by track as they approach mountain road....

and the other place we watched from was inner side of the circuit at edge of field..... take the only underpass under track once racing has started.... lots guys on motox bikes etc rude across the fields.... or did then.....

the sprint racing on the front is cool too 😁

Ya probably mean Ramsey Sprint. Was cancelled last year, i think due to a disagreement with the council, I am pally with the lads who organises that. Straighliners, Google that 👌👍
Not sure if it was 23 or 24, but I videoed a side car, not race side car with a victim, road legal bike, with canopy side car, resembling an aircraft cockpit, tip over as he set off . German lad I think.
If you have access to YouTube look me up Paul Delaney @TWAAT you will find it. Amongst a few good more viewings from there.

My first TT 1981 my last TT was 2014 , a group of lads in there late teens and early twenties , those days of mis spent youth, the police let us be lads , my last time that I went the police were just the same as the main land , so many speed restrictions and control , Douglas prom was a wild place , If you had contact with the police you did as you were told , respect was given and received . The TT and the isle of man is bikers heaven , if you are not a fool on two wheels. My girl fiend and now wife liked the 11th milestone , and quarry bends. It was always good hearing Rob Holden on a t150 trident coming over the mountain , and joey at the creg-na-bar on full song . The TT is the best biking event ever.

It's a bit of a shock, seeing the old bill with there beating sticks, although, I haven't had the pleasure of being on the receiving end of a swift swipe, i know a lad who has...... I am a lot faster, over 100m at least 😅
11th milestone, yep another good place.
Bet ya have some good stories to tell, times before the TT has been watered down. Viewing spots and entertainment.
Joey, an experience on its own to say that. Again the place has so much history, tragedy, triumph and as said on the whole, fkn magic place.
The biking mecca.

Hi, I am new to the website today, but I had to join the TT group! :)
I am going for race week. This will be my 9th time I belive. Fave place to watch is probably Hillbury. If you are stood on the wall facing up the road, you can literally see them coming over the mountain down the road and then heading round the corner. If you are against the little wall, you feel the speed as they go past, incredible! you also seem to see a lot of of the riders that pop down from the paddock if they are not racing in that particular race.

The last time I went to the TT was 2007, and the first 1999. At least I got to see Joey doing his stuff... I suddenly feel very old 😄
