We're off to Wooler in Northumberland for an extended weekend, 8 - 11th May 2026. This avoids the bank holidays (rallies, tourists etc) and is equidistant between the Middleton in Teesdale Easter thing and Finks AWOL camp.
There will a couple of ride-outs one of which will be to Lindisfarne.
If anyone wants to joins us please do, Wooler has a good few pubs, B&B's, holiday homes and nearby camping / caravan sites so plenty of accommodation options, but you will need to sort yourselves out.
I have just booked for 4 nights in an apartment in Wooler High Street. Thursday to Monday for a longer break. There are 3 beds in total so it would be great if anyone wants in to share the cost. With one extra person we would pay £50 per night each. With 2 people it would be less than £35 per night each. Let me know asap and I will send details 🎉
I have option for free cancellation on the place I booked via Booking.com. Hoping Mandy can persuade Dave to join the party. Nice to look forward to some good weekends when the weather outside is so grim at the moment!
Steve, if you've not planned other rides and are thinking of crossing the border, may I suggest that you consider crossing on the Union Bridge? Depending on group size there are spaces to pull up on either side and to walk across and take photos, it might even make an interesting video clip of the group riding over. Check it out.
