Been the same since I joined n that was a while back now. I was told then that it's always been a problem. I don't like my photo taking but was informed quite quickly by the mods that a photo MUST be displayed.

Perhaps the profile shouldn't create unless there is an approved photo attached?

There are also lots of duplicate profiles out there, which I pointed out at the time of the new Birthdays page being put in place. There are very few days where there isn't at least one duplication.

At the moment there is a good few profiles with very little info on them with lots of Tell You Later and they ain't getting approved because we don't want to have a spammer get though the net.
With a picture and some info your profiles will be approved a lot quicker.

Hiya, I think it would be nice if people had, up to date profile pictures too. Rather than one that is 10 years old. Yep keep the old ones in that folder but update it every couple of years... I hate having my pic taken too... But if you meet up and you're looking 10 years older than your pic it's a bit of a shocker haha... 😂

You cant say no pic no profile. Some members wish to stay slightly anonymous for vireos reasons mainly female. Some male but for other reasons.
Yes up to date pics are great but very hard to enforce with new members unless you know then.
My pic is a few years old now but as a lot of you have meet me its not so much of a problem + I very often have a hoodie with JP on so I tend to stick out lol

JP was easy to spot, he looks much grumpier than his profile pic 😂

Ahh I wasn't expecting anyone to enforce the pic update. You guys have enough to do! But I can only speak from personal experience, that it can be embarrassing when you don't recognise someone because they've aged ten years, I like a bald head on men, but when you're meeting up and looking for someone with hair as in their profile pic and it's gone!!! It's a bit of a shocker haha.
I agree you can't force people to have pictures, I don't tend to respond to faceless people anyway. I bet others don't too.
JP I met you years ago at the 2nd KISS rally, you weren't grumpy then! But maybe you were having an off day 😉.. lol 😁

Lynne I don't remember much about the Kiss rallys as I would of been trying to get the bands and god know what else to fit the times PAs sorted DJ sorted and a shed load of other stuff. Will have to take a ride down your way sometime and meet up for a catch up and cuppa. I am hoping to make the camp but just to far away to say for deff just yet. Just you know I had a shave now.

Know what you mean JP, I do the drunken monkey festival. Same as you, back of stage, sorting out bands, scheduling, food & drink.. I hardly stop from 7 am
till midnight or beyond. Hard work, but it's great fun...
And makes it worth it when over 1k of people turn up and everyone has a great weekend, including the bands and we make £20k..
Hey if you come this year don't be shy, I could always do with an experienced hand! Haha.. Cheeky I know, but hey!!! 😉
The lady at the campsite will squeeze you in if you decide to come down.. She really lovely and friendly. It's hard to book that far ahead. I'm going but obviously not camping as it's 6 mins from home!!! But once I know numbers I will see what's on locally, bands and stuff...
So you're naked now 😉😂

Haha I bet it does JP. Well maybe the nakedness should be seasonal.
Hey yes, it you're down here it would be daft not to catch up. Happy to be your tour guide 😉😊.

It's a strange one this! You would think if someone is hoping to find a new partner / girl-boy friend, then they would post a current photo and if they were looking for just new friends, it wouldn't matter what they look like, so why not post an up to date profile photo anyway!?! Lol ;)... .

and yet... as EB proves in post No2 on this page you can still have a 'No Picture Available' profile???

Its ElizaDee by the way ducat. I have been a fully paid up member on this site for over 9 years, it has always been explained countless times in past threads by Matt the owner or moderators (please search through BM Site Issues' past threads re this) you do not need a profile pic.

If I (or anyone else) wish to remain anonymous for a short/long while for personal reasons that is entirely up to me/anyone. I frequently take my pic off every few weeks for my own reasons and as the site allows someone to do this I need explain myself to no one.

Look at my profile before making judgements, I am seeking nobody, I am not looking for dates and I never was/will be on here. This site CAN be used as a dating site but it is not primarily a dating one! I use it as a social one to chat to folk I know on here, therefore only those who matter to me on here (like friends) need know what I look like. Someone who never talks to me on here or who is looking for a date can simply pass on by me.

Incidently , I have lost count of the number of men with no profile pics who never bother to read my profile and see what I am looking for, yet still message me asking what their chances are of some sexting as I'm too far away from them for anything else. Believe me them having no profile pic is lucky for them....

Well done ElizaDee for exercising your prerogative of what you have on your profile, can fully understand your sentiments and comments.

I hope I'm make no judgements of anyone whatsoever ElizaDee, simply commenting it seems a little odd to have limitations on profile pictures when users can (quite rightly) choose to remain photo anonymous...

I didnt realise the Regs either:

Ducat, I get ya totally, no probs. I did the same thing a long time back when I first joined, I mean I questioned how some could be deleted for pics with helmets on yet those who had no pics on could remain, trust me it confused me and seemed a little unfair, but I do understand it now after reading through the owners's (Matt) posts/comments about it (can't post link at min but it explains more than I can), and hey Ducat nowadays I go by whoever owns the site makes the rules and if I wanna stay on here and socialise I'm happy to abide by 'em. I tell you something though, this site has been a rock to me when I needed it, some good folk on here so stick around if you can :)
Yarg, thank you very much hon xx

For those members that are reading PMs from mods and not responding to the requests for an appropriate profile picture:-

1. The policy is within the FAQ section.
2. The policy and how it's applied, as well as general views of members on the policy; is discussed regularly within forum topics.

In many instances, members may find their profile pictures changed or deleted without further requests.

In some instances, profile pictures will be changed / deleted without a request being made.
