Is it something to do with the fact that remembering that you have forgotten something constantly reminds you that you know you have forgotten something but you can't remember what?! The repetition of forgetting helps to remind you. A bit like the post it note on the fridge door.

Memory ability has something to do with a few things:
1. The brain is like a muscle and constantly needs to be worked in order to work at its best.
B. we descended from fish. We all know their memory abilities.
D. And I'm sure there was another point...
