Getting an invitation to head up North to the races at NW200 tonight after work, not my cuppa tea these races rather have the Ulster Grand Prix, but not turning down a free bed and racing ticket! Yeeoooowww :)
Had fab weekend 'Oop North' at Portstewart with friends and bikes and racing at the NW200, got into work today to find that colleagues had clubbed together for 'moving house' presents for me, I actually cried :) Life is good x
Ooooh yes Ragnar!! I actually have the spare room for visitors now after 2 years being in a poky place suffering, lol!! Lovely 2 bed apartment (posh word for council flat lol) and yeah bloody right there will be some house warming I tell ya hee hee hee! End of June I should be all settled for a wee dram or 3 with potential visitors, getting keys next week! Happy to be out of the woods for good (metaphorically speaking) xx
Haha, you should have seen the size of my smile. The roads to the meet are outrageous, it’s like wanging round the TT course. I was buzzing for ages when I got there 🤣
I could ride that bike for hundreds of miles no problem, it’s just so comfortable and eats up the miles at an alarming pace. My GSXR can cover ground quickly, but it’s no long distance bike by any stretch of the imagination. So it’s resigned to short blasts and track days. I might take the Hayabusa on track, it will be good round Castle Combe and other fast flowing tracks, not so good on the tighter ones though. But tracks like that bore me anyway. They’re ok on a 600, but far too much effort for an old fart on a 1000. 😂
