cheers sweeny . a very worthy cause , we also offer "pre cbt" training. however 95% of the time it just runs into the actuall cbt anyway. will keep u posted if i need help. holmfirthgirl .. i hate the hazzard perception test too . i kept failing it when it first come out !! as an advanced rider i was spotting hazzards and acting on them (ie clicking) too early and getting no scores .. what they want is for you to click when the hazzard actually develops into a braking or steering action. keep practicing till you get to know what they are after . its important to get this test out of the way before training for mod1 and mod 2 . hippy ... so glad to hear your school didnt give up on you , and gave you a shot at passing your cbt , also glad to hear you didnt get ripped off .

So .... looks like the secret is out Our very own Buzz will be your host/tutor for this "exclusive" training weekend So come on ladies (sorry guys, but this one is a "Ladies Only" I feel that they [the ladies] will get a lot more benefit from a weekend with other lady learners) Get your names on a list, with what type of course you are interested in {ie CBT, Mod 1 or Mod2} Then we can get some idea of numbers and what there is most urgent need of I think you've got em hooked Buzz, the power of positive tuition By remote

thanks em im sorry but i couldnt help replying to posts . today i run the idea of this weekend passed all my instructors . i got a great responce and all are willing to give up there sat and sun to help out . so that means we can offer from cbt right up to das mod 2 training cbt:- this will be a little more indepth than normal and will prepare you for the mod 1 mod 2 tests too . certificates will be issued by end of session on sunday (provided basic standard is achieved) mod1:- i have instructors that specialise on this test. many of our students pass with 0 minors . that come back and cant believe how easy the test was compared to training recieved mod 2 :- it will be a short lesson in the playground so you can get familiar with your bike . then lots of road work tackling variouse road situations . from heavey town work to empty country lanes . please note :- you wont leave this weekend with a full licence . but you will leave it with the confidence and knowledge of how to obtain one . accomodation :- i fully understand that if accomodation costs are added on top then it will probably defeat the object of the weekend . so im prepared to let everyone crash at mine . just bring sleeping bags ect ect . i got spare room , large lounge , or even can erect a tent in garden if needed .. ps im not offering to do any cooking costs :- i dont want to make any money out of this weekend . however i do need to cover my costs . so the more we get the cheaper it will be i cant give costs yet but trust me its going to be cheap . buzz

errr daft question(s)....where is this likely to take place? (am assuming it'll be @ Buzz's in Essex?)..however you know what happens with assumption , do we need to bring our own bikes (if we have em)? & any ideas of dates? or could this be a 'rolling' thing?

As long as I can get there by train or someone can give me a lift then that's ok, but I certainly don't feel up to riding that far from Madchester

~Sooooo will there be some of them there motorsickles for us to borrow?
Obviously that raises the question of cost & insurance, although I know nuffink. I will leave complicated details in the hands of people who know what they are doing

So as long as dates/places/costs all being within my availability/transport/finances I'm in

Hmmmm... what if we rode down in a group? took our tents and had a stop over Friday night? I know it's a long way...but.......... or is it wayyyy too far? Has anyone got a van/trailer or two, we could get our bikes on? or as others have said, will there be bikes available for us? I'm really hoping I can do this, depending on my work ( just about to start a new job, so not sure of my rota at the minute) but I DEFINATELY want to do this..... I REALLY REALLY need to get my licence this year, so any help I can get will be very much appreciated

sorry for the delay in replying , ive not been on bm for a couple of days .. my thinking was you all come in a car share /mini bus share i have bikes for hire to keep things simple . 5 cg 125s 1 sr 125 a gpz 500s and cb600f (for das) ive also got 2 kymco 125s , and a couple 50 cc scooters . will need to bring own bike clothing /helmets im fully comp insured , so no need to arrange that either . im thinking places for 10 ppl , over a range of courses , may be less if everyone wants the same course , or more if courses are varied . dates ??? thats a mutual agreement between us all , however im going to brands bsb in july , and also silverstone wsb . those events for me have allready been booked . ie 20 - 22 july and 5 - 8 aug . i think ive anwered all questions . i need to ask my instructors what kind of gratitude pay they would be seeking for a full sat and sunday . As this is the first time we have held such an event in this way .. ie petrol costs, wear and tear, + lunch money . but as a rough guide im thinking £100 for weekend course , inc hire and insurance , inc accomodation . either bedroom, floor or tent i dont want to lose money and i dont want to make money . if at end of weekend i find ive charged too much i will refund the correct money . however if you feel our team deserves more then it will be ploughed back into the school's accounts . ready for next years law changes ??? buzz

That Bank Hol weekend is perfect for me.
And as for cost £100 is excellent value, and I'd be happy either to pay more if necessary or if you feel you've overcharged then any refund I'd be happy for you to plough back into doing it again for other folks

I'm also happy to bring my tent and sleeping bag and blow up bed and fairy lights and of course CAKE

This is what I love about this site, all the fantabulous people on here willing to help others out in any way they can
I think you guys are all fab
