Just been going all nostalgic over The Spinners, the crowd-pleasing Liverpool folk band from the late 50s to the early 80s.
I heard the news that Tony Davis, the tall guy, died today. I had occasional dealings with him, and a brief businesslike call to him would always become a half-hour natter and gossip. Lovely bloke, as they all were.

And tonight and finally home...Early Morning Shakes(album)...Whisky Myers..just getting into this band(a tad late),but seems a fresh crop of music from the Southern States is blossoming...along with many i enjoy,Black Stone Cherry,Blackberry Smoke,Drive By Truckers,Patterson Hood,Jason Isbell,and so many old favourites still going,albeit with much changed lineups...get you some of that..haha:)>
