ElizaDee I love it, and Tangerine Dream too

There's a film with James Caan and Jim Belushi called Thief, Tangerine Dream did the soundtrack to it. Great film, made by Michael Mann, who made Miami Vice back in the 80's

Love Tangerine Dream myself Cornholio, can never get enough of their Cyclone album or Phaedra or Poland (live) one etc etc

Must keep an eye out for that movie.... if it has Caan and Belushi in it its bound to be great

Ah I know who you mean now, Michael Mann brill director did Manhunter ...think I shall have a wee look for Thief tomorrow.. cheers!

Michael Mann also did Heat, with Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, and Val Kilmer. That's another great film with an excellent soundtrack, not TD in this one unfortunately

There some good live vids of TD on Youtube though

Going through the vids of TD on Youtube as we speak ... I like the sound of the Live at Loreley 2008 one so far ... (a more recent gig for me to listen to for a change)

How could I forget Mann did Heat? Duh me!

LOL he's done some great films.

Heat is one I watch a few times a year. That shootout during the bank robbery was actually shown to US Marine recruits to show them how to retreat under fire.

The actors were given weapons training and tactics training by a couple of blokes from the SAS. Plus, when they recorded the sound Michael Mann had microphones placed all round the set to capture the sound live, instead of dubbed later. That's why it sounds so real compared to shootouts in other films. Little things like that make a good film into a great film, his attention to detail is immense. Hence asking the SAS for their help

That's probably the best shootout in a film I've ever seen, it's so realistic and shot so well. Pun intended
