Yes Cornholio must agree the Blaze episode was the only down in their career (IMO) saw them couple times here in Ireland and also England. Great band, great music and they sure love their fans :)
@HD3FXD; the old drummer from Gillan, Mick Underwood, lives not from me. He's still gigging now. He had Cancer a little while ago though, but came through it ok, we meet up every now and again and have a beer, a couple of my other mates are guitar and bass in his band Glory Road. He used to be in a band with Chas Hodges from Chas & Dave, and Ritchie Blackmore was in the band too, but that was way before I was born
@Lulu; I don't even have the Bayley era stuff, never even played it. Heard a couple of the songs but deliberately went out of my way to avoid it. I can't stand him, but that's due to personal reasons that I'm not going into on here. Almost 30 years later and I still bear a grudge, pmsl
Joining in the Maiden love fest here. Saw them live on the somewhere in time tour for the first time. Piece of mind is still my favourite album. Have the Blaze album and it's definitely not Maiden lol
Cornholio, saw them yonks ago for the first time in Sheffield, 1986 or 7 (too long ago to remember which year lol) Also when I lived in London in the 90's I accompanied a mate of mine (a bigger Maiden fan than I) to a 'meet and greet' with the band in London 1998/9, alas Bayley was with them at the time, I just stayed in the bar and let my mate go in the other room and meet them, but did manage a very quick chat and laugh with Dave Murray when he surfaced from the room for a pint... cannot remember the venue but still have some photos of the band from it
Talking of which... just had to put some good stuff on now....
