Nice to see you all today. Did you all get home safe.
Was a great ride home sun in eyes was a bit of a pain at times
Had bonus when got back to my mates where I keep my bike. They had made dinner for me as well so no cooking tonight.
What a great day
Glad you had a good ride home mick, nice to meet you at last, also nice to meet up and say hi to some new faces, sumo, njl, cataraptor, zzrpilot, piedbiker. Nice to say hi once again to wannabe, jabecs, vent and arf. Wannabe it was nice to meet your friends to. Ooops almost forgot the man in the nice car and wolley jumper nice to say to hi to you to, sorry having a senior moment can't remember you name.
Had a lovely day thanks for arranging it. Good WARM drive home in good weather conditions, no snow until just before we reached Tamworth. Hope everyone else had a good and safe journey.
Look forward to meeting up again.
It was nice to meet everyone too - and put some bodies to names and pics. My timing was immaculate in returning home. Serious snow started less than a mile from home. Left the bike on the drive while I got my (outer) kit off and when I went out to spray the chain and wash the salt off, it was covered with snow. It had stopped by then but there was a fair coating.
Anyway, it was a good do. We'll have to do it again some time but when it's warmer!
Horrible journey home so big medal goes to Ventrider for getting me (and the car) back in one piece - cheers Nodrog! (Think "dancing on ice" for cars and you'll get the idea of the interesting journey) Hope you've managed the final leg without mishap. M25 + snow + eejits = no fun.
CG - the man in the fluffy jumper and JCB (aka Morgan) is Shooter ;o)
Thanks to everyone for making the effort - sorry we didn't get off to see the Longbarrow or Silbury Hill - we'll have to do it again when it's a little warmer - it would've been hard work with the number of cars/bikes today... and flippin' freezing!
Will have a play around with the photos and see if I can upload some to the event later tonight. From my new camera. Did I mention I had a new camera? ;o)
Oh P.S. If anyone knows the poor bloke who was riding a motorbike along the North Cray Road tonight in about 4" of snow, give him a big hug from us... hats off to the guy!
They tried to get me to lick a stone but I'm not as daft as I look... Besides, it took 3 paramedics to unstick my tongue from that lamppost last time we had a freeze!
There were folk around with super beards and big staffs, that possibly doubled up as antennae on motorbikes - we're not quite sure of their dual purpose ;o)
A few floaty dresses, but mostly covered up with big overcoats... soft lot these pagan types ;o)
