Natwest. Despite having enough cleared funds they decided to return two very important items unpaid and charged me £76 for the privalige.
I am now going to get a call from an account "care" assistant to discuss my complaint......its simple.....you , Natwest are nothing more than c*nts!
At least Highwaymen wore masks etc.........
Went with my friend today to put some flowers at the scene of the accident, it was very moving as there are still parts of her bike there, part of her fairing with the words zzr on.
I only met nina once but she was someone I felt I had known forever even after one meeting, some people are like that.
Thanks for all your kind words
Take care out there everyone you never know what lies around the corner.
Oh geez.
Really, really sorry to hear about Nina.
I am just lost for words.
Since last May when I was last in the saddle, I have only clocked a few miles on my current bike. I am still wobbly so I have only gone out REALLY early in the morning when very few people are around. This kind of news really does strike fear into my heart, and remind me just why I got my CBT - to see the road from a different point of view, and to be a better driver.
I was already a bit down with on-going downsizing and cut backs, as a result I have been working like a lunatic in the office. I have been on the verge of falling ill all last week - feeling feverish, run down. Now the bug has finally kicked in. But this bit of sad news had just topped it off.
I thinks CBTs must be incorporated as part of a car driving test.
1. Woken up by cat hacking up hairball.
2. Broken zip on leathers.... Luckily I have a spare pair of leather trousers...
3. **Drizzle**... But I thought - No, I am not going to be put off by a little rain. In the right physical state, precipitation is my friend. Just not today, this morning, in the form of rain. But it's okay. It's okay, I AM gonna clock a few miles today...
4. Flat battery on new bike.... Wheeled it out of garage, started engine, all was well. Let it warm up, put on high viz jaket, helmet, gloves, jumped on bike. Got in gear, moved off. Came to barrier on street, stopped, waited for it to open, it didn't. The barrier has worked almost EVERY TIME before, so what's wrong.... Switched off, moved barrier.... bike would not start anymore.
So I clocked a few hundred meters this morning, wheeling the cibby around. Ugh.
These are times I tell myself to be a bit zen about it and think that I was destined to NOT go out today, and probably avoided something a whole lot worse.
Oh, and after all that faffing about - I lost my house keys in the garage. Luckily there was someone in the house. I still need to go into the garage again and look for that key. (Garage and house are not linked.)
I need my cuppa tea.
Coming downstairs to find a flooded kitchen Seems to be coming from behind the washing machine. Pull the machine out a bit to see what's going on and the gentle trickle becomes a torrent.
Turn water off and mop up. Discover that the plastic bit on the end of the water hose has cracked right through.
Feel very hot and bothered. Out in the hallway the cat brings up a hairball. Yudanja, I feel for you on that one.
Get new hose from B&Q. Can't be bothered to fit it now. Quck bath, grab reluctant daughter and set off for the Cat and Fiddle
Always sad to hear of another Biker killed by some Muppet in a car.
I was run off the road today on my way up to bristol by some Twat in a small truck. Straight section of road as I went pass He pulled out to block my way. Had to jam brakes on and bounce off ditch. Lucky I was in my car not on the bike Unlucky my son was in the car and scared the hell out of him.
Im thinking of getting a video fitted as I missed the reg plate as was trying to calm my boy Down.
Sorry to hear that Mick, had the same kind of thing happen a couple of months back when I had my lad in the car. Just thankful both boys are okay.
Makes you feel sick tho' doesn't it?
Same happened to me couple of years ago on the bike on the way back from Thundersprint.
Straight single carraigeway road, easy overtake - then the ^%$*!! in the car moves out. Found myself doing 60mph on the grass verge - got past him OK and it was all done in a few seconds, but a squeaky bum moment, and when i think of the ways things could have gone wrong, my blood starts running cold.
I punch the wing mirrors off drivers that are deliberately blocking or make dangerous manouvers. I find they stay WELL back after that.
I have also been known to slam the bonnet of any car the tries to nudge past at lights etc.
I don't think they realize 99% of us drive too.
