What an absolute bummer. You feel so frustrated and helpless. Grrr... Is it summat in the air today, or the alignment of the planets, or what? Misery and boredom everywhere and as I sit looking out on a grey wet evening I feel like turning to the complete works of Leonard Cohen to cheer me up Not even a spin on the bike did much to lighten the mood earlier. Tomorrow is another day and if things look bright I might just take off on the bike to a rural cafe. (Cue hollow laughter as billy no-mates bike club takes to the road.) Boo-hoo. Still there's a can of lager in the fridge (perks up a bit)

My ex (who had to return to South Africa a couple of years ago) contacting me to tell me she is getting engaged and realising I will probably never see her again. I hope she truly finds happiness - God knows she deserves it...
