Hearing that a good friend is having more health problems
Please take my very best wishes and Brightest Blessings
I, and many others have you in our thoughts 's
Visiting my brothers grave today made me sad. Not because I miss him like hell and the fact that he was taken so young.....but the state of the cemetery.
Where his ashes are laid is the most cash rich church in my area and all year the place has become more and more of a disgrace.
I know that the cemetery is not tended by volunteers, but there is funding set aside for its up keep by the parish council.
So, I have sent an email of complaint.
BL, the churches of many denominatations always claim poverty when the catholic church and the church of england are the biggest land owners in the country, with funds available to employ someone part-time to do a little ground maintainance. it is no wonder that people are losing faith and turning away from the church.
Last night my step daughter lost her Pug who had been devoted to her for the last 5 years. He hadn't even reached his sixth birthday when a particularly aggressive cancer affecting his lungs and rib cage was discovered and he had to be put to sleep. Everyone loved him and she is inconsolable. You have to have lost a devoted cat or dog to really appreciate the loss she is suffering.
@ Cataraptor, heart goes out to your step daughter, I understand that feeling all too well. She needs to find a new companion ASP, it will never replace the lost friend but could be the start of a new relationship and maybe help take her mind off her loss
i went into costa today for a coffee and bumped into a mate whom i havent seen for 3 years , that made me very happy , also my GF invited me up for dinner tonight :)
what made me sad ,reading cataraptors post , i had to put down my old dog this year i had him for 13.5 years , he was a legend amongst my daughters friends , they could camp out in the garden as long as charlie was with them , no one could get close to the tents without him showing teeth and he was a big dog too.
Still being on crutches and having to rely on other people, especially when I know everyone is so busy this time of year. Had a bad day on Saturday, a victim of my own stubbornness and independence.
To most using crutches wouldn't be an issue but my frustration is caused by not having full strength in my arm from a bike accident, this means that the distance I can use them for is very limited as my arm gives up.
