Sorry to hear that JP.....No excuse for that at all.
Pity that no-one saw him/her/them.
But one things for sure: Whoever did that is not a biker.

Yet again having folk state 'everything's always in the Midlands' really does pee me off, which is why myself and others made less effort in organising events this past year, only to have folk complain not enough is being organised, make your frickin mind up !!! For those complaining, if you want something somewhere else get off your arse and organise something instead of bitching. Why is the Xmas party in Midlands ................. cos nobody else offers to organise one. Why is the Pick up a Pilly always in Midlands ..................... cos nobody else offers to organise it. Why do we have regular nights out in Brum ............... cos we bother to organise it. Why do we organise an annual meet in Mablethorpe for the sand racing ..............cos we bother to organise it Why are we planning a weekend in Keswick ..................... cos we bother to organise it Why are we planning a weekend in Barmouth .............. cos we bother to organise it A week in wales, previous weekends in Barmouth, day trips to Brean and other places, a mini cruise to Amsterdam, tenpin bowling nights, curry nights, pub quiz nights, Halloween fancy dress in Leeds ............. cos we bothered to get off our arses and organise stuff. Hope my point has come across crystal clear. Rant over

I organise events cos I enjoy doing so, but you don't need to be a brain surgeon to figure out that if I live in Birmingham I am hardly likely to organise a night out in Brighton or anywhere else I don't know are cant get to in a realistic world. My point was merely stating that folk are quick to moan and complain but not volunteer their own time and expense.

Hi BJ The people that seem to moan the most, seem to me (my opinion I’m aloud one) the ones that don’t attend or didn’t – So in the hypotheses of logic theory – could this be the classic human defensive symptoms kicking-in Rather than sitting down and excepting the fated that “Shit mist a good due”

Can't understand why people thought the rally was too far away. it took me two and hours from South yorkshire so I would think most people could have done it in fours from wherever they lived.
As a biker part of the enjoyment of attending events is the ride to and from them.
My moving the Kiss rally around the country gives you a chance to ride on different roads.
I've noticed that those who complain about events never organise them. Do they realise how much time and effort is put into organising things.
Those that do oraganise events organise them near thier homes so they can check out the venues to ensure they are suitable.
If you want an event near you. then organise one.
I know the kiss rally had a few problems but the majority of attendees were not aware of them and enjoyed themselves.
The reason numbers were down may have been due to :
personal finanacial reasons or:
poor weather forecast or :
it's not on my doorstep or maybe:
Just couldn't be arsed

Just to add my two penny worth, I take my hat off to all of you who arrange or organise any of the events or rallies on this site. From the KISS rally (which unfortunately I haven't been able to attend due to work commitments) down to the local ride outs. Please don't think it's not appreciated because it is, it's what makes this site special.
I know at times it must appear we are a ungrateful bunch of so and so's but please please keep up the good work no matter where you come from or what event you organise we all benefit so I will end by saying
A BIG THANK YOU.........

i fully appreciate the events that are put on and what goes into organising them.i have put up a xmas lunch party for a meet up as i would like to get involved in organising events etc on bm.
the reason i we didnt get to kiss this year was a combination of the distance and cost involved with that distance.finances for us are quite tight at the min and would have cost us £100 just to do the 390 mile round trip on two bikes with the rally costs on top would be unaffordable at the moment.but for me what puts me off organising events is the worry that people wont turn up and support it

Best put Ya feet up then deb as you will always have that problem if you get a 75% turn out your doing really well. Probably the biggest thing that snogs me is the number of members that put down to go to events but have no intention of turning up . After 4 years of this we know who will and won't turn up now. The hallowistmus party is the big one for us as it's a limited number and you get about 10 that put there name down knowing there not going but denieing the place to members that want to go and can't as it's full.
And yes we do know who you are that does it every time

well i would then get people to pay up front for their ticket like at kiss.its wrong i know sometimes things happen but i for one try my hardest not to put my name down unless i know i will deffo be going.i am hoping the xmas lunch will get more people coming but hey if they dont it will be a nice select bunch of peeps together havin a laugh .i have noticed that certain members always put their names down and ive never seen them at the events theyre just spoiling it for all the rest.but either way we will still have a good time no matter what

Deb it's not the money £3.00 won't make any difference if we have the list full and payed they still have no intention of turning up it just denies the place of a great night out to someone who really wants to go. You dinner should be fine as it's an established event now and always well attended
