Hmm .... the realisation that my (again ex) having had severe depression for a long time .... just aint gonna be able to be there for me ! Anyone here ever been depressed and 'come out the other end' ??

yus hun i work with that kinda stuff and depression is soemthing that can be helped defo some peeps need medication to kinda level their mood and then have some kind of counselling, some just need counselling and soem just need medication and it will pass.
some peopel get it on and off for years ~ bt there is help out there chick and it is definatley possible to "come out the other side" bt it does depend on the individual and with the help of professional peeps who know about this stuff, that dont mean psychiatrists either its just sometimes peeps need to talk about stuff and dont even realise this will alleviate a lof of their problems... first step is talk to gp and ask for help... gps can then refer on to services specificaly for this which is loads ... we get hundreds of referrals a week ...its very common and nothing to be ashamed of... just need help is all

Being unemployed and without money means I'm stuck at home when everyone else is out meeting up and having fun. It really makes me sad

Not much else I can do David, but stick with it, I'm thankful for my sense of humour, it just gets a bit much tho when it's the same year after year.
In my experience when things do change for the better they don't last long

Ah David, isn't that just human nature tho, everyone who works moans about their job, well almost everyone, there are some who love their job. I expect I will complain the most about the job, if I ever get a job again lol
