Seeing a woman stood crying in the queue at the bank today, after some thieving had snatched her money from the cash machine outside.. The joys of the festive season!

I hope this scumbag who snatched that poor lady's money falls into a coma and chokes to death on the drugs he will probably buy with it.

Had my bike (GSX-R600) stolen in London two days ago . . :x

So - until the insurance is sorted - I'm officially gixxer-less

Don't rely on cheap chains you see at the motorcycle shops (Oxford / Abus etc) - they are rubbish! Most take less than 30 seconds for motorcycle thieves to cut through with bolt cutters. Google Almax security chains . . .

I do believe I am thinking things through to much.
I see a friend almost at the point of breaking down at work, purely and simply because of her age and gender!
I know I work in a male dominated industry, but when it comes to management and industry advancement, I find it totally unacceptable to see a shining light being snuffed out because the old boy network are so insecure, and frightened, by the prospect of marching bravely into the future with a woman at the helm!
And it is not just from the grass roots level that I talk about. The hierarchy that exists in the workplace, has stagnated to the point where dept heads are shit scared that their inadequacies might be recognised.
I was witness this morning to a bright and enthusiastic light in my work place reduced to a flicker of her normal effervescent self. It took all of myself control NOT to wrap her up in my arms and let her release the frustration and disappointment she was experiencing. Not a pretty sight let me tell you.
I know I am new to the site, and most of you who have had contact with me, see me as the joker. Always up for the crack and ready with the double entendre's before anyone else can get their fingers on the keys, but I tell you here and now, not many things in life have touched me as deeply as the conversation I had this morning ( 1/12/12 ) that I had with my immediate superior at work.
Enthusiasm and innovation with regard to working practice are being overlooked and suppressed just because she is a young, bright and enthusiastic woman who doesn't want to turn the world on it's head, but instead wants to make the work place, and lets face it, we all have to work to survive, a better place to be everyday.
I now formally appologise for my rant, but this has been boiling up inside me all day, and short of getting myself in a world of trouble, I have unloaded some of it on you , my friends in the Biker Match community.

Sympathy to the woman who was robbed. Keep your purse / wallet close to you while in a busy shopping area, and if anyone BUMPS into you, check your purse or wallet hasn't gone missing. Vince, I hope you get your bike back The Suffragettes will be spinning in their graves to read that 66, all their hard work and perseverance seems to be for nothing even after all these years. We have moved on in the technology sphere but seem to be still in the dark ages when it comes to equality.

Finding out today that a really kind, hard working, gentle giant of a lad of 22 that I knew, who left home at the first chance he could, to get away from an alcoholic mother and abusive thieving father, and who was working his way up in life, has had a fatal stroke and died in the early hours of this morning.

His presence, his soul, his very being, will be badly missed by many.

Seeing my old mum seem to have given up on life, having heated talks about her not taking her medications that keep her alive. This second flood has really knocked for six, I look and wonder where the lady who was fun, friendly has gone, miss the laughs we used to have, miss my mate.
