I thank you all for your support, it is so much appreciated. Insurance loss adjusters coming on Wed so will talk to them about a cash settlement, then we can get the job done ourself. may decide to pay extra and get bungalow built up about a foot higher, that should stop this happening again. major big job but think it will be worth it, put on suite bathroom in for mum at same time..

Ohhhhhhhhhhh Sweeney after all the positivity too about new carpets and everything else just last week... Huge hugs lovely! I can't begin to think how awful this must be for you and your wee mum.. If you need anything just shout up in the forums.. tonnes of people would step up to the mark for you!!

Positive things in your last message too though.. hope they work out!!

OMG! if it wasn't for bad luck Mr Todd, you wouldn't have any at all. The saying 'What doesn't kill you will make you stronger' springs to mind. Putting the house on stilts seems like a good idea. Your insurance premiums will skyrocket at this rate. I can't imagine what you must be going thro, sending big hugs for you and your mum.

Yes this has been a truly bad year, starting with a sad loss, almost lost my mum as well and now 2 floods at home.
Living somewhere nice and rural does have some drawbacks when things go wrong. I am so glad my good mate Rooster roo convinced me to join BM, it made me get out there, ride my bike and meet new friends. The support that has been offered is truly amazing and I am overwhelmed by it all. So many thanks, i am proud to be a part of the BM community.

Fed up hearing folks who joined BM, made new friends, go out more on bikes, attend more parties and rallies etc slag BM off. To these people i would like to say just rem BM did that for you and the people who put their own time and effort in to organise such events for you to attend are included in that slagging off you are doing.

Thanks Bee :) just winds me up when folk dont see the bigger picture, plus the ones that are slagging Bm off are the ones who have organised naff all lol
