He's a top bloke is that fbk, slightly barking but proud to count him as a friend. He's always there when needed and doesn't flinch too much when hit with a frying pan!

Having a brilliant long weekend in the Lake District...lovely weather...very lucky...warm....took in most of the sights including a cruise on Windermere...plenty of food, drink and laughs! The place I stayed in was absolutely lovely ...would recommend it to you ALL...Jane runs it....her hubby Angus is a biker (Triumph Trophy 900 man and Motocross Rider etc etc) and although it is very upmarket, they love to have us bikers to stay...there are lovely rooms with scenic views...breakfast was superb! I had the four poster room with scenic views...beautiful...just south of Windermere so great for touring....quiet... Get in touch with Jane Jenkinson at Hill Crest Country Guesthouse (have web site: www.hillcrest.gbr.cc/) Very reasonable at this time of the year...and she has midweek offers...ALL BIKERS WELCOME!

Thanks Cassie1966 and Babbsy....bloomin lucky with the weather! Just got to catch up with all the washing and ironing (there is always a price to pay for having some me time isn't there?) Cassie I really recommend you and BB having a break there sometime...really lovely place, room, breakfast and host...Jane is a truly lovely person...I am definitely staying there again. Hope's you are feelin ok now Babbsy? Couldn't believe it last night...I lost touch with a very very dear mate Amanda who I was a student with...she has managed to track me down and now we have nearly 12 years to catch up on! Gosh! Can you imagine what my telephone bill is going to be like this month!!!

Glad you had a great time BC. I went there when I was 9 and I loved it. It was our only ever family holiday. I would absolutely love to go back and will probably take baby one day. Just me and baby for a nice long break. I appreciate scenic views and beauty. Just love it there. I was so young but still appreciated the place. Do you think the place you stayed will let a baby stay there?????
