JP. Just been reading the posts and felt you needed a hug hun. from one who's life's going down hill to another. x

Centurion. hugs also the sad downside to a member of the family passing, as I have seen my companions, They lived a good old age really doesn't help.. more memories, more bonds but what a kindness you did. I have faced this at a time when my dad was dying of the same heart failure. My cats end being much less cruel but cutting deep just the same. x

Just heard from Matt, for whom I have a great deal of respect, who's recovery seems to be going wrong. Hugs and truly heartfelt hope for a miraculous recovery hun. x

Fking everything! Not even getting acknowledgements from companies I've sent my CV to, despite the fact that the jobs could be done by a monkey with one arm tied behind their back. Not being allowed to even view rented properties I am interested in because I'm not working - despite the fact I'm offering them all the rent up front! Fed up with being treated like a statistic. Also b*ggered up everything else. Sorry, rant over, I know there are plenty more in a much worse dilemma than me - I'm healthy and so's all my family. Just hard to feel grateful at the moment.

It's criminal the way that the unemployed are treated like aliens and made to feel unworthy. One day you'll be able to put two fingers up at the bloody system, Stay strong xx

Thanks Alice, let's hope so. All you want is a foot through the door to prove yourself, but you can't seem to get through the bull

I wos toying wiv the idea of taking on an hotel, staffed by the disenchanted unemployed, prepared to work their tails off to make a go of it; and to take minimum wages but share in the profits (if any). Guess wot - the bankers dinna wanna know!

Just had a call from the sick pay people to tell me I'm not entitled to any money. That means income of £0 a week month year whatever. Why have I paid my stamp for the last 30 years? What is the point? If I'd never worked or contributed I'd get everything going. That's it I'm finished!!!!! All my car profit is gone so that's ended too, can't get new stock. Lynette only works 10 hours a week and doesn't get paid in the school holidays. The light at the end of the tunnel is a train coming

Such an unfair system Tim, I agree with you. I'm just sick of the continual bloody rain, getting beyond a joke now.

Tim go see the Citizen's Advice Bureau ASAP, they can give you some excellent advice on what you are entitled to benefits-wise.
Please don't delay in this.

Sorry to hear this Tim and you certainly don't need it after what you have been through recently. Lulu is right get advice without delay. If you were on a sick note from the doctor, you must be entitled to something. What you need to know is that what ever happens we all get through these situations somehow. Like many others, I have been there more than once and I didn't let the b*stards get me down. Good luck and don't give up.

Tim there is help and they don't tell you that you must apply for a different benefit instead, job seekers and ask for it to be back paid as you could not submit a claim for more than one benefit at a time. I don't know what benefit you have applied for so it may be different if you applied for dla. If you applied for esa, most claims are turned down first time, so don't be disheartened. Dla has the same appeals process as esa..
If you haven't asked for a review of the decision then do so, they have to keep you on the assessment rate of esa until all appeals are over. On the review form their is a box asking if you wish to appeal if the review decision goes against this. Tick this box and if an appeal is necessary you would be wise to attend. Been through this and done this for others that I know to be genuine like yourself. Won every case for them.
Call me. I need this distraction at the mo from my crap anyhow. We'll get you help.
