Just fitted some stainless steel seat springs to my seat, no more rust, I,m a bit anal when it comes to rust! Long drive from South Shields to Southampton tomorrow, my arse is gonna ache! My Sporty bobber only has a token gesture when it comes to suspension, a case of form over function, its gotta look good first!!!
Isn't it brill you can comment on this topic too now ngb...?
Went out all day on mine today... ride to Buxton to finally meet with a friend for the first time, then onto Cat and Fiddle for a cuppa... after she picked up a 3. biker on way hahahaha, back then via Sheffield all on the back roads... lurvely
I've ridden it
Ridden it harder
Then ridden it harder still
Between the last two stages I had to filter through 6 miles of stationary traffic on the A64
I'll bet the guy on the BIG silver BMW, who appeared at the front of the queue, got a shock though
He gave me such a disdainful look as he pulled up in front of me
As the plod waved us on, past the cleared away wreckage, he took off in a rapid way
He was reaching some serious 3 figure speeds on the dual carriageways
But everytime he checked his mirrors........
Yep, I was STILL there on that tatty little Honda
Shame he pulled off before we got to York
It was just starting to get "interesting"
Oh, and apologies to the guy on the 09 Fireblade, who I caught up with later, as he was "leapfrogging" the slower traffic
You were just getting in the way mate
If yer gonna go, then GO
Don't do half a job
Apart from owt else, it's just downright dangerous
All in all, a nice little ride
I don't usually do that sort of thing NGB
But when a guy on an expensive bike looks down his nose at mine
I have to teach him some respect
I enjoyed putting my "Baby" through her paces
He must've been either surprised or pissed off that he couldn't "shake me off"
But he was definitely "trying" to
He kept dropping it a gear to try to get away
I waited till he was looking in his mirror, then I dropped her 2 and sat on his tail (ish)
( probably never noticed the RR on the tail piece, just saw the "old bike" reg plate as he pulled in front )
I thought he was a bit cheeky anyway as I'd been parked there 15 mins with the engine off
VM,i had a norton commando that 'spat back' once and broke my friend's ankle, after i told him was an'easy starter'...but have skinned shins and bruised ankles enough down the years to know how it feels..my sympathies,hun..x
I rode up to CMC Clay Cross.... Am getting lots of motorway practice in and meeting up with lots of pals. Getting my licence was the best thing I've done in years :)
