Not for ages, but very occasionally I discover a recipe for something like gingered spam and take a notion. It's like corned beef - useful stuff to have at the back of a cupboard.
We should take some up to Loch Ness camp and do a Come Dine With Me Spam challenge - see who can produce the best meal with it!

Canned goods discovered at back of cupboard and now a year beyond 'best before' date - use or chuck?

Canned goods can last for years, so I'd eat it even if so called out of date by a couple of years as long as the tin in good condition. It's funny how cans from ww2 have been found is still edible condition so this BB is a modern add on.
