I suppose driving when I shouldn't - but a long time ago and I got home (a short distance) safely. Fortunately never been in any personal danger - just seriously embarrassed, especially when I got got drunk with my daughter and all HER friends and was seriously unwell.

Are you a happy drunk or a miserable one?

In the Excalibur in the middle of the red light district in Amsterdam in Holland, Loud music and beer. Where is you most favourite place in the world?

Not that much of a world traveller.....but there is a place in the New Forest which at dawn, with the mists rolling across the marsh and coming up against the trees, has the most peaceful, otherwordly feeling. The forest ponies amble past, appearing and disappearing in the mist. Its a place I dont get to often, but one I never forget.

What is the most expensive item you have bought, not including motorbikes

Got to be house hasn't it?
Mind, same numbers paid for my house 25 years ago isn't far short of what I paid for my car - the only one I've ever bought new from showroom.
Aside from them big-tickets, and stuff like double glazing and bathrooms etc, it would probably be pair of leather settees.

What, IF ANY, new year resolution will you be making for 2014?

   Update Reply
izzyhill @ 13/12/2013 18:23

don't do resolutions...never ever keep to them. Would you forego your principals to keep the peace?

rowanblossom @ 14/12/2013 08:13

Yes, probably.

I'm a middle child - bite me! Always disliked argument and dissension and tried to keep the peace or walk away. Don't think I'm VERY principled either , of course, there ARE things I would stick to my guns about, but generally try to consider where the other party is coming from and see it their way and hopefully agree-to-disagree rather than capitulate.

Would you ever exercise tough-love and kick your own (adult) child out?

[answers in the affirmative, at length, with full instructions, please]

Always a tough call Izzy But dependent on particular circumstances It's probably the single biggest favour you can do for them I've never been in that predicament fortunately But I wouldn't hesitate if confronted with it Have you ever given well meaning advice, which you later regretted

Far far too often sadly !, Always regret it! I try real hard not to but am only human.

If you could go back and change just one decision you made in your life what might that be ?
