Think we ought to set up an Insomniac's post Kerry
Seriously, hope you got some sleep, I did eventually but felt like a zombie when the alarm went off at 7 .........
oh definately, I've had 12 years of it, well you may as well say 13 years, with all that kicking before they come out, then the crying when they do to remind you they are still there lol !!!
Just generally frustrated with myself !
Trying to resize and upload pics from MCN of pete and roger and its not working, their too small now and i dont think its worked anyway............... I know its my first attempts at it but been trying all morning and feel I have wasted the morning
god I'm useless
Nutkin it worked, I got *notification of the pics in my email after you loaded em. Dunno what happened after tho cos when I looked in the event it showed one pic with an error message, I've reported it to Matt.
*Matt hasn't disabled it yet.
the pictures aren't working because they are not jpg files. They are PNG files, saved with a JPG extension. This confuses the site and they fail to load.
I've deleted them now. Send them to me via email and i'll sort them out for you. Alternatively, simply use Paint to open them, then click File - Save As and select JPG as the file type. Upload this new file and it will work perfectly.
Thanks
Cheers Matt, but I have no idea what Paint is (well except the one in tins in B&Q !), thanks for the advice and hopefully my next attempts will work better :-))))))))
Kwaks kindly offered to sort the problem out for me, so thanks ever so much Kwak and hopefully soon the pics of Pete and Rogers red goatee will be made public to those who wasn't there - its RED !!!
what made me really happy today was the sunshine, mild temperature and a day off work!! First full day out on my new bike (traded Monster in for Harley Sportster Low, cos I like cruisers and because Im vertically challenged and this is the only bike Ive sat on that I can actually reach the ground on lol!!) Nice to really enjoy the experience without have full thermal/waterproof gear on and freezing to death lol!!!! .......back to earth and work tomorrow but who cares, today was the first taste of warmer days and longer bike rides! mmmmm heaven lol!!

Felt the same about the weather here and if hadn't got things to do I'd have been off for the day. Tomorrow I've got to wait in for a delivery from IKEA (how boringly domestic!), I've got appointments on Wednesday and when the day off comes on Thursday it'll be pouring down, I bet.
Mate said yesterday that there's only eight weeks before the nights start getting onger again. Could've kicked 'im!
ha ha thanks TM and yes, its great Im having a whale of a time on my new "baby", clocked up almost 400 miles in the last few days - amazing how much better you feel when more than your tip toe touches the ground lol!!! Thing is, Im restricted due to being 5 foot nothing - height always a problem for me so the Sporter Low is a delight now that I can reach the floor!!Hence the reason for the Sportster Low - I dont have many options with bike heights lmao! As for cruisers Ive always loved em Icot - Im built for comfort not just speed lmao! but I also like to think Im open minded enough to appreciate ALL bikes - even the plastic fantastic sports bikes, which arent my "bag" but are alot of others - just each to their own and horses for courses I say. I tend to go more for the cruiser/naked bike look anyway, I love the crome and find custom unique, amazing and fascinating! I like to cruise along, take in the scenery get lost in my own little world without a care in the world. Im not a speed freak adrenalin junkie like my son still is (unfortunately)! Funny how you dont really look, appreciate and learn about bikes though till you ride and have one yourself!!! My Monster is a totally different "animal" and amazing in its own right but a temperamental Italian and no doubt (although mine was 100% I consider I was lucky!). Im sure each make of bike has their own little problems to iron out! Im quickly finding out that Harley does not necessarily mean better quality as I stupidly thought before having one, although it always does mean very expensive!!! Im having a few things sorted out via warranty that arent quite as I think they should be for a nearly new hardly used Harley so my local Harley dealer is now getting to know me quite alot lol!! Im one of the "Harley Family" now though so quite right too uh lmao!! Pics will follow soon no doubt!!

ive known enough peeps wiv jap copy's who have had niggly probs it aint jus harleys that suffer 'quality prob's' an yu have to look after chrome and blingy things no matter what cos the weather an salt will destroy any shiny bike unles yu jus paint everything!!!!what i liked about my sportster was it was so easyto work on basic agricultural engineering!!! i dont understand Harley bashin maybe its some of the more showy owners there knockin more than the bike!! fraid it probably would be a very boring scene if there had never been mr HD![or his copycats!] i was inspired by the film easy rider so guess i am more on the romantic side of biking rather than fairings racing tracks an speed which interest me not one bit!!draggin jeans open face sit back enjoy the view rather than lookin like a gimp an racin to the next traffic light!! but whatever floats yer boat is good!!!!
Harley bashin eh, i will have to stop knocking harleys then if thats how its seen. Im not a basher. knocking harley banter is just a bit of fun.
Im not quite so narrow minded as i come across, my other bike is a suzuki gs. I love both my bikes but cruising is my bag.
Linda
i am riding a Triumph America now which is a far superior m/c for touring an comfort !! but to ride the Harley is still a lot of vibrating thumping good fun an gives me a real buzz!! oh, an its still worth a few bucks!!!
couldnt agree with you more TM - Im loving the riding experience and solid safe feel of my Sportster (no rude comments about V-Twins, throbbing engines etc etc plz!!) Just want to get my little "baby" sorted out via warranty and then Ill take care of her no worries - us ladies good at cleaning bikes regularly and taking a pride in the bling - guess its what you guys lovingly call "bonding" tho lmao!!! ................

ps certainly opened a can of worms here didnt I Icot but really, plenty of bikes to suit all tastes, its the biking experience that counts no matter what your preference! Im still finding that out........late starter but not too late..............
