At the moment I wish I had 1 job to split between 1 Person wouldn't even mind giving 2 jobs a go! done that before now.
When it gets a bit unbearable just be glad you've got an income...
My old job was like that HRC. The last year or so was miserable. Then I became the one who's job was taken off me & split between others...from the distance of a year later I'm so glad I don't live with that stress and overwork any more. I've got a lot less money than I used to have but my life is better for it....sometimes we need to be pushed before we can make a change.
With you there, Min :>> I may be skint and with no job at the moment......but I am so pleased that I've been able to give my family so much support recently..just when it was needed most. So fulfilling:>
Mini 100% agree ! I was lucky enough to walk away with something extra in my pocket which I admit made it easier to do, but I am so glad I did it.
I earn about half what I did at O2, however don't have the Agro,,the traveling, the pressure, the stupid shifts, the phrase 'business needs' force fed to me daily!
And my quality of life has improved dramatically. I have lots more time to do what I want
Remember Angie ... You work to live, not live to work
@old red - i see what you're saying, sympathise with your situation, and agree with being glad of having an income, but that shouldn't extend to bending over, touching your toes, and saying "shaft me" - i know what HRC does and know its a tough job thats underpaid with long hours, and can also be pretty stressful, so for her employers to expect more really is taking the p***!!!
@alice - its a cliche, but in some situations there really is no substitute for being able to give your family time, and lucky for all of you that you've been in a position to do it - some things really are priceless (sorry - i'm having a gorgonzola moment!!) x
Having no job, no money and my weekend plans going down the toilet but on the up-side I felt like death yesterday and thought I had flu coming and I'm fine again today!
What made me sad and unhappy today?. Just finished my 10 hour nightshift, on the way home, 2 mins from work and a nice lady in a focus decided my Punto needed some customising at a roundabout. Not only that but, my Punto needed to customise a nice Zafira in the other lane at the roundabout. Been on the phone all bloody morning and nowhere near my bed yet. To make things worse, recovery people want to pick my car up,between 8 and 2pm tomorrow. Was planning to be on my way to the Autumn camp at the Anchor by then. Oh well at least it wasnt my bike!! ( I did like that Punto though) Have a good day everyone xx
Oh yes, todays driving tip: To save wear and tear on your brake pads and discs, why not use the car in front, to stop you at roundabouts and junctions
Commonest cause of shunts at roundabouts - drivers too busy checking to their right to see whats coming on the roundabout, and not enough attention to the car in front of them!
Yes, XK spot on. I always check my mirror when approaching roundabouts, sure enough she was checking right. Didnt hear any braking noises from her either, screeching tyres etc, sort of knew it was coming. My hands actually came off the steering wheel with the impact.
To be fair, my son did the same thing to a Mercedes 2 weeks after passing his test
To XK, Just cos I drive a 4x4 does not mean I'm a tosser, There's good and bad drivers out there no matter what car they have, if you have absolute evidence of your accusation then would be pleased to hear it. Oh driving to work last night in my 4x4 moving death truck I nearly got side swiped on a roundabout ho hum.:-)
W - please check my post, I said 'mostly'.
I am sure their are some very good drivers of 4x4' s out there, they just seem to be in the minority.
It's a bit like all bikers getting a bad name, just because of a few 'tossers'. (But not quite).
